“Godzilla Eating Ramen” 🍜

Even Kaiju enjoy some ramen!

My favorite scene in Godzilla versus Kong. These animals were animated with so much personality that no dialogue is needed to understand what is going on, so no humans giving commentary, it’s a Titans only situation, as it should be.

Godzilla pins Kong, roars to demand his concession of defeat, and for a moment Kong looks very young and afraid, but then his expression changes to one of righteousness fury. He chooses “Death before dishonor” and roars defiantly back in Godzilla’s face. Godzilla looks shocked for a moment, then he smirks, obviously impressed with the ape’s moxie, and leaves. Kong is beaten and bloody, but left alive to live with the fact that he is not the new King.

A lot of critics slamming Godzilla vs Kong for the humans being underdeveloped don’t seem to understand why the trope ‘Just Here for Godzilla’ exists.

No one gives a flying fuck about the human characters.

Except for the adorable little girl that bonds with Kong. She’s an angel and we’re happy to have her.
