i need to be SEDATED. psychotic personal note- as my abusive ex was breaking up with me i uttered out “i have given you every part of me”. as i was in shock- to which he whined out that he knew. so when i watched lestat tell his lover that he loved him with all himself before louis slit his throat. i felt seen. one could say. lestat sympathizer 4 life. i love him. i see him. i wish i had been able to drop mine out of the sky. i am jealous.

had a discussion with my friend earlier about iwtv and twilight. and i was saying that Louis is kinda Bella-coded (she agreed) and then Lestat would be Edward and Armand would be Jacob. her reaction: but what about the imprinting on a baby? and i was like: well, Daniel is just a baby, so that also fits. so now everytime I look at this old man my mind helpfully supplies the "I'm just a baby" meme.

Can we please take a second to speak on the symbolism in Louis’ choice of “disguise” in the epilogue of episode 8?

He returns to New Orleans in 2023 wearing an American football jacket and cap. On it, a gold Fleur de Lys, the symbol of French royalty (which Prince Lestat is by 2023 in the novels).

This jacket and hat are part of the uniform for the New Orleans Saints. Exactly what Lestat declared he wanted to be in the first 5 words of Blood Canticle.
