My therapist is trying to help me breakdown trauma (This isn’t a trauma dump, that’s not what this blog is for) and the problem is I’m too introspective, I can give logical reasoning for why things are traumatic but I can’t explain my emotions. Hashtag autism.

She goes “G-d this is exactly what a therapy session with a Vulcan would be like, bangs and all.” And she’s probably right but now all I can picture is a poor starfleet therapist asking a Vulcan “how that made them feel” but they’re the ones who are scared.

Heartbreak High does what most media is scared to do.

Make everyone do absolutely FUCKED UP shit while keeping them human.

Then have the characters realistically end up sticking together despite the hurt.

Not ending the story with the characters having “matured” to grow out of their issues. They don’t end good people, nor bad ones.

i think everyone should remember that Cecil is an unreliable narrator, he has proven multiple times to have a skewed view of his childhood and a poor memory, this alone makes him unreliable. But also, the entire podcast (mostly) is from his point of view, all we know about the characters is what he tells us, and he’s also admitted to being biased. Things “change” from his childhood so often because his brain is fighting itself so that he won’t remember, a common symptom those with trauma disorders experience.

i need to be SEDATED. psychotic personal note- as my abusive ex was breaking up with me i uttered out “i have given you every part of me”. as i was in shock- to which he whined out that he knew. so when i watched lestat tell his lover that he loved him with all himself before louis slit his throat. i felt seen. one could say. lestat sympathizer 4 life. i love him. i see him. i wish i had been able to drop mine out of the sky. i am jealous.
