A FEW HORROR FILMS TO WATCH THIS HALLOWEEN SEASON
It's finally spooky season and we have curated a list of films to watch and we will of course let you know where to find them!
1. Hellraiser (Hulu)
The new Hellraiser remake finally dropped over on Hulu and it's a good film to watch for new horror lovers. The visuals are great but this one lacks the substance with the character development. You can read our full review here on our website. Check it out today and let us know your thoughts!
2. Terrifier 2 (Theaters)
We heard that Terrifier 2 really delivers on the scares. This one is currently only in theaters but will be streaming on Screambox supposedly in the near future!
3. Sissy (Shudder)
Sissy is a fresh Australian horror that delivers some great practical effects and has very relatable concepts. This one follows an influencer who befriends a childhood bully and things go awry.
4. Deadstream (Shudder)
Deadstream was a great, innovative take on the found footage, streaming subgenre of horror. They do their best to justify the use of the cameras. It's super funny and has pretty decent effects. The film follows a "cancelled" livestreamer who is finally allowed back and decides to do a ghost hunt at a haunted house and things don't go as planned.
5. Halloween (Shudder)
The 2007 remake of Halloween is currently streaming on Shudder. Shudder also hosts most of the Halloween franchise currently for the season so if that's up your alley check it out!
6. Child's Play (Netflix)
This Child's Play is an update to the classic horror of the same name. The film stars Aubrey Plaza and provides slight comnentary on the nature of technology and how it can be used for harm. There isn't anything groundbreaking in this but the effects are great and it's a fun afternoon watch!
7. Saw (Netflix)
It appears Netflix has put up every one of the Saw films from the franchise on it's service. You should go check them out for some bloody goodness!
