Fletra

The Fall Maiden: a serious but nonchalant girl who acts as the leader of the group. Her weapon is a shield that can radiate elemental magic.

I like Fletch because she’s cool (and weird~). I think if this were a proper story, she’d be the most entertaining character to work with, especially when it comes to her fighting style...which is actually kind of hard for me to imagine. ^^; Shield-users, even shield-mages like this, are pretty rare, so I’d have to really work to make up an interesting moveset for her. 

Right off the top of my head, I think she would probably be a momentum-based fighter, using the holes in her shield to catch weapons and drag them aside, or using its rounded surface to roll with glancing attacks and find an opening. And then when she uses it as an offensive weapon, she would grip the chain in her hands to keep it tethered, while using her feet to manipulate it more precisely.

FFF- Preview

Alright, enough hiding; I think it’s about time I admit it: the F’s of Team OFFF are Salem and Ozpin’s daughters from eons past. In this AU they never died, and Salem actually raised them for a while, until they decided to leave her and go their own way...with one notable exception. ^^

Now they’ve decided to find their older sister and see what’s become of her, and after hearing of the attack on Beacon (and knowing how their parents’ relationship works…) they decide the easiest way to do that is to go to where Oz is and wait for Salem to show up, hopefully with the Grimm Princess in tow. But because they’d rather their parents didn’t recognize them, they disguise themselves as ordinary students while they wait. ^^

In the lore of this AU, the daughters actually ARE the Four Maidens: since they’ve been around for thousands of years just like their parents, it follows that some of their exploits have passed into legend. But that’s all they are, just legendary figures with strange powers that show up sometimes. There are no vault-opening or inheritance mechanics in play here: these Maidens are people, not roles.

Fengo

The Summer Maiden: A guy who’s always cheerful and energetic, but not quite as carefree as he appears. His weapon is a double-headed spear, which is used mostly for melee, but can also perform long-ranged magic attacks.

Feng’s design was a challenge from start to finish, but I think that’s part of the reason why it turned out as well as it did. ^^ In my opinion, he’s the most attractive of the three~

Fleur

The Spring Maiden: a shy and anxious but brave girl, who just wants everyone to get along. Her weapon is a bow, from which she fires magic elemental arrows.

Fleur’s was the first design I came up with...I just really liked her hair. ^^ It was fun to draw something spiky and sporty, in direct contrast to her soft personality.

Are you considering giving team OFFF a sibling dynamic since they technically have the same Ozdad?

Oh yes, that was the whole idea~

Naturally, Oscar would be the baby of the "family" within this dynamic (kind of like a stepbrother~), as a freshman huntsman and a normal human who's younger than the rest by literal millennia. ^^

I think this would have the biggest impact on Fleur (Spring) who's very anxious and unsure about being any kind of mentor figure, since she's used to being the actual youngest. I think she'd be the type to freak out (and possibly run...) if Oscar asked her for advice. ^^;

Fengo (Summer), being the middle child, would just be super happy to have a new friend to talk to and teach about anything and everything. ^^ I think he and Oscar would spend the most time together.

Fletra (Fall), as the oldest and true leader of the team, would probably be mostly unaffected; looking after a shy farm boy would be a cakewalk compared to looking after her actual siblings. ^^;

She might also be the most...pessimistic about seeing Oz as a real father figure, unlike Oscar who's on-board 100%, and the other two who might look at Oscar and Oz's relationship and go "hey...maybe...we could also try...?" I think she'll first have to come to terms with her feelings of abandonment concerning her own older sister (Winter) before she can entertain that idea.
