Don't chase the RAbiit Marek!
"We have to keep moving." The young Joltik faintly heard an odd voice call out from the darkness, muffled by the sound of roaring wind and quick drumming. He desperately looked around him, trying to figure out where he was, or what was going on. A bright flash briefly lit up the black sky, breaking through the shield of leaves and branches that surrounded the young Joltik to reveal his terrified brothers and sisters huddled around him."It’s going to be alright, little ones…" a soothing feminine voice rang in the Joltik’s ears, filling him with a sense of safety. "We are going to be alright. Your father knows what he is doing."Shortly after the voice had spoken, the leaves as a large Galvantula crawled in, trying to catch his breath. “Alright, the coast is clear..” said the Galvantula to the other, a hint of seriousness in his voice, “The wind is getting stronger, and my webs aren’t going to hold for too long. We need to hurry.” He turned his body around, waiting for the other Galvantula to do the next step. The young Joltik felt something pick him up out of the pile of his siblings, and shortly being placed onto the large Galvantula’s back. Dreadful thoughts filled his mind as he eventually figured out what was going on. More of his siblings were grouped up around him, all of them shivering simultaneously. “Don’t be afraid, little ones.” The soothing voice of the female Galvantula spoke once more as she gently ran her front legs along her children to comfort them. “Just hold on tight… I will be close behind.”Before the young Joltik had time to enjoy the Galvantula’s affection, he was quickly brought out from the large tree’s protection, feeling drops of water pounding away at his back. It was too dark for him to properly see what was happening, feeling the strong winds trying to force him off the back of the Galvantula. Everything flashed once more, this time the Joltik caught a glance of what looked like giant monsters closing in on him. His eyes began to tear up, frantically trying to cover them with his front legs. He felt something push heavily against him, as if being picked up off the Galvantula’s back. The young Joltik heard a loud cry from behind him, opening his eyes to briefly see his mother reaching out for him before the world began to spin rapidly. He watched as the wind pushed him deeper into the darkness, the drops of water feeling heavier as the world continued to spin. He closed his eyes once more, hoping his nightmare would end.Suddenly, everything went silent. The wind had stopped, and there was no water raining down on the young Joltik. He felt strangely at peace, and thought it would be a good time to take a nap and refresh himself. With any luck, he’d forget this whole nightmare…((mod: Phew… finally. That is honestly my first time writing mainly from Marek’s perspective. This was a scene that has been in my head that I really wanted to try writing. Think I probably could of worded things a little bit better though. It’s surprisingly hard to write mainly from Marek’s perspective S: ))
