Hero & Partner Week Day 4 - Hidden Land (from memory on my ipad) (i was busy today)

this is actually reminding me that i sketched out pieces for my three teams and then never rendered them ... so im doing some of that today as well :]

My pitch for the adventures of Team Prism and their characters.

Hey there do you like Pokémon Mystery Dungeon? Do you like fanfics in the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon setting?

My pitch would be this then. Welcome to the small yet growing harbor city of Concordia a city that is transitioning between the traditions of their history and the advances of modern day in PMD. 

My main characters are Umber the Sneasel and Minerva the Espurr. Files on them are down below.

Name: Umber

Sex: Female

Age: roughly 27 years old. She is really 369

Bio: Her memories are unfortunately incomplete right now(Or so we think. She is definitely hiding some details out).  According to first hand accounts Umber is a member of a roving tribe known as the Echo Clan and she was exiled.

When questioned about why she was exiled she went quiet and kept changing the subject and refused to answer to any further prodding.

After her exile she trekked across the land taking odd jobs here and there and making herself into a stronger Pokémon. One day while training on the snowy mountains ever ambitious and willing to push herself she took some chances and ended up buried alive in an avalanche.

Luckily for her the combination of both her ice typing and the quick freeze kept her alive and 364 years later she would thaw out.

Confused on the time period she is now stuck in, she would live in Concordia City and one day she would meet an Espurr and her life would change.

Personality: Umber is a calm, cold and reserved person who actually deeply cares for the people that she invites into her circle showing that underneath that cold exterior she has a personality that is like the sun.(Should she even be a Dark Type?) XD

Umber like the culture of her tribe believes in loyalty over honor because when the chips are down, a person with true loyalty is worth more then strength or honor and the reason why she is here is that she defended her blood sibling and got exiled and she holds no regrets about her actions.

Umber is very competent and has the makings of a natural born leader, willing to look at battle tactics from a ground perspective and make a judgment call based on it. She has a passion and drive that is infectious and is the type of leader who would be down in the dirt with her fellow teammates.

As a result of her avalanche burial and freezing, Umber despite having the ability to read(A rare trait back then) is struggling with the new languages and linguistics of the times, but she is a quick learner and she often goes to the library everyday to learn something new.

As a consequence of her freezing she is terrified of being frozen again(And she knows how embarrassing this is for an Ice Type) plus an intense feeling of claustrophobia. 

Despite her exile she still upholds her tribes traditions and wishes to find them again.

Umber is also surprisingly open-minded and accepting of new ideas even stating stagnation is a slow death and that a truly smart and strong person is willing to change what they can.  Plus she finds it confusing how some things like being gay or speciesism to be a legitimate alien concept to grasp.

Name: Minerva

Sex: Female

Age: 24 years old

Bio: Minerva is a graduate of the local university at the top of her class with big dreams of being a member or a leader of a Pokémon team, she has been kicked out or quit approximately 40 teams for not meeting her expectations or for her poor attitude or for the fact that no team could accommodate for the fact that Minverva... is deaf. Minerva is naïve about the world but she hopes she can find a team or make a team that will accept her for who she is. One night while walking home from the local library a pair of bullies would ambush her to steal her money and she would meet Umber and everything would change.

Personality: Minerva is a very blunt and forward person who wears her emotions on her sleeve and as a result she is often unapproachable and alone when in reality what she really wants is friends. Her confidence, her intelligence and her nasty tendency to manipulate her friends or peers and turn everything into a game or a competition.

She is a very skilled and powerful Psychic type Pokémon but because of her family as well as her own attempts to be a member to society by rising above the stigma of her disability, she has become very perfectionist not only on herself but on her teammates. 

As a result she has been kicked out of countless teams despite glowing marks and praise of her abilities. 

Her stubbornness and pride also means that she refuses to communicate vocally or with a pen and paper, relying only on sign language and telepathy to communicate with people.

However deep down inside she has a ton of insecurities about herself and her place in it, she wants friends but her personality makes that so difficult, she connects with people and the world in a way that is different from others and she often believes that people are envious of her abilities and as a result her confidence is twisted into arrogance, and when she is backed into a corner she panics because she likes it when plans are organized and structured which shows her naivety with people and the world.

Minerva as a result of possible her pride and bluntness and express some very shall we say, bigoted ideas about other people and often looks down on others(Note she is often not aware when she is doing this) she has a resistance to change because she often doesn’t like admitting that she is wrong( Or at least she will admit after kicking and screaming about it) Most of this behavior is because of her family and the pressure that they put on her but also that Minverva puts on herself.

Overall Minerva is a capable but ultimately lonely person but maybe just maybe someone will come around and accept her for who she is and allow her to improve.

Ayyy it's the boys [+ cat] This took me about 4 days including a day I used as a break to write their character bios lol [excluding Monday because she belongs to @cobwebs-n-rodents] Definitely a different project but I haven't been this proud of my art in awhile 🏃‍♂️
