SnK Fandom--Get it Together.
As of late, the ‘Attack on Titan’ fandom has procured a noxious intercession.
Not much in theory, but Isayama Hajime has come beneath immense denunciation. Predominantly, he is not the blame for this debacle; he’s just a product of an immense misfortune—reluctant fans who voice nonconstructive commentary. Most, in part, concern ‘ship’ aficionados with the false validation they control his universe.
Quite simply, this is not the case, my friends.
We, in some measure get this: opportunity to deliver feedback and quite simply, our time to his work. However, the relatively of this, is we are not the authors whom are behind the magic. Instead, we are the gears who should help continue moving Isayama’s machine to allow him the chance to proceed with his story.
Translation: we’re supposed to be motivators. Inspiring ingenuity. Not hate and ridicule due to something not going our way.
It’s one avenue to be emotional. Another to use your emotions as an excuse to hate. Frankly, it’s a repulsive concept which should be discarded. In truth, the thought is narcissistic. Selfish.
This fandom, at one time, use to be homage of ebullience. Now, it is in fact, a typhoon composed of pandering teenage girls with cultivated patterns resembling similar cult characteristics. We’re an aversion of nauseating folk who need to keep our asses out of our mouths—stop shitting out insults. Shitting out bullying and negativity. There’s a difference between offering veraciously say. Another to think we can be fraudulent bitches to one another. Quite honestly, it’s almost as if being duplicitous towards ourselves.
I understand disagreeing with whatever you find upsetting about the manga updates—for Christ sake, you lost a character whom you deeply admired. This calls for harrowing fangirl feels and succumbing into depression because “how dare they die on us.” But, there is no mortality in being a scumbag to others, or above-anything, the author who made this for you in the first place.
Let’s recap: as fangirls/boys, we’re supposed to love the characters. Support the author. And do our every possible way to accidentally convert others into this addicting franchise. But not to demonize and/or violate the author or others who may disagree with our perspective.
Instead, take the chance to get into friendly debates. Not toxic quarrels.
