Ayumi Hamasaki's COUNTDOWN LIVE 2024-2025 is finally coming to DVD and Blu-ray February 11th, 2026!

In addition to the standard edition available at most Japanese retailers, the mu-mo shop and official fanclub have a limited edition 2 disc set that comes in a deluxe box packaging and includes both the TA LIMITED ～Thank U tour～ 2024 and a bag modeled after the tour's school theming. So far only a photo of the bag has been released. This limited edition version is only available in Japan--it is not listed on mu-mo's international site--so fans will need a proxy shopping service to order.

Bag measures 440mm wide x 260mm high x 150mm deep (W17.32″×H10.24″×D5.91″)

Additionally, pre-ordering the limited edition version will come with replica prints of the "final exam" from the TeamAyu tour

Pre-ordering the regular edition from TeamAyu or mu-mo comes with a clear file designed after the original cover. Pre-ordering from any other cd shop will have a post card designed after the regular cover.

Fans of Ayumi Hamasaki and especially Ayu herself is having a sad moment since her announcement of not only her hurtful knee problems and surgery but her weaker right ear.

It is hard to imagine for me suddenly just lose the ability to hear. And I won’t imagine how painful it has to be for a musician and workaholic like her! I feel so so sorry and sad for her because still the stage is what she calls her home! I just hope she will take a rest after her extra long Just The Beginning Tour to celebrate her 20th Anniversary career!

For me a life without Ayu’s music is worthless. She created so much of great pieces! But I would be feel much better if she takes her health priority #1! She did so much after almost 20 years. It is unbelievable. I feel really sad for her fans who are worried right now and following her since the beginning as well!

Many of us are still shocked by this news, so am I. I think I need lay back in my bed to realize what is happening. I’m thinking of a woman who maybe loses her last links and I hope her right ear stays strong for many many years!!!

I’m still a bit shocked so my english lost a bit of quality.. but I think you know what I mean!

Ayumi Hamasaki has made two large "recovery photo dump" posts on Instagram featuring behind the scenes photos from the "Summer Again" PV shoot: Post 1 and Post 2. (Presumably, they're "recovery" photo dumps because she recently posted a story about having a bad cold.)

Ayu updated her Instagram stories yesterday to indicate she was back in the studio and would be returning again today. She also recently updated her fanclub blog with an update on her songwriting headspace. It seems she is still determined to release a new album this autumn!

New Single, DVD/Blu-ray packaging preview, and TeamAyu summer concert!

As promised, Ayu’s team dropped a bunch of news today at 7PM JST!

New Single: Summer Again. First off, a title and release date for Ayu’s new summer single, Summer Again! The new digital single will drop July 1st. We know Ayu filmed a video recently, and so far no word on its release, but the “Nonfiction” PV premiered about 12 hours after the single dropped in Japan.

24th Anniversary Concert Blu-ray/DVD Update: We’ve gotten our first look at the packaging for Ayu’s upcoming Blu-ray and DVD release, including the TeamAyu/mu-mo limited edition that comes with an extra disc for COUNTDOWN LIVE 2021-2022! The release date has also changed from July 1st to August 17th.

Summer TA Party 2022 will take Place July 12th and 13th at Ex Theater Roppongi with three performances total. Ticket sales begin for TeamAyu members begin June 17th. It does not specify whether ticket sales are limited to Japan-based fans again, but given Japan’s current limited tourism policy, that may still be the case. 

Last year’s Summer TA Party was not livestreamed or broadcast after the fact; they have not yet announced whether that will be true again this year.
