Meteorology was tough today...

We were talking about thunderstorms... And for me, that's a sore subject. I got the nerve up to telling the class the story. (Obviously not the full, detailed story, but an abridged version.) Summer 2013, Zionsville, IN. Clear, sunny, summer day. Kids are at camp and counselors are watching over them. Just a normal day. On this day, there isn't a cloud in the sky, gorgeous day for disc golf and volleyball. Within the blink of an eye, lightning strikes*. Two kids were hit. One wasn't hit too bad, but one was hit directly in the spinal cord, and almost died. Counselors rushed to his aid and make sure he survives. *I wasn't there so I don't know every detail... Two years later, Ethan Kadish survived the Lightning strike that came out of the blue. Friends and family of Ethan care for him as much as they can, and donate to his #teamethan fund. Two years later, he has been in and out of school, and is now responding to "yes, no" questions via blinking. That may not seem like much, but to people who have been following Ethan's progress since day one is phenomenal news. Tldr; meteorology was tough today because lightning.
