Jaune quickly washed the grease off his hand in the bathroom of the restaurant he’d just eaten at; Tacos ‘n More. Not the best he’d ever eaten, but it wasn’t the worst either. And there was definitely something to be said about having a full stomach this late at night.
He walked out of the bathroom after drying his hands, with a quick smile to the cashier as he left. “Thank you again for the food.” He called, striding out into the night. Once he was in the streets, he tried to get his bearings; he was trying to make his way to the church. It was, thankfully, something of a landmark; despite the streets being dark, and it being his first day in the city he was fairly confident he could find it.
He drummed his fings on the hilt of the old blade on his hip as he looked around; he wasn’t much of a swordsman, but the old blade was still a reliable deterrent if nothing else. He had taken only a couple of steps when he heard a door closing behind him and turned towards the noise.
He spotted a fellow blonde; short, cute, and he was pretty sure he’d seen her in Tacos n’ More a short while ago. Had her shift ended?
Jaune took a quick glance down the dark, empty streets around them, and grew worried. She was, after all, very cute and very unarmed. He grew a little worried on her behalf. Though logically he was knew it was pretty unlikely that anything bad would happen to her, Jaune had a hard time convincing his heart. Perhaps it was because she was around a foot shorter than him?
“It’s a nice night, isn’t it...” He struggled or half a moment to recall her name tag. “Violet?”
