Rescue plea for Rambo A5248382 “ Rambo was at the back of the kennel when the runner approached. He did not want to come forward when the runner tried calling him over. Rambo had to be closed off on one side, he had low tail, ears back and whale eyes. During greetings, he had a neutral loose wag, relaxed body, soft eyes and an open pant. He was allowed into the yard, where he came over to sniff the dogs. The #dogs ignored him and weren't interested. He followed the dogs around the yard and then tried mounting. He was very pushy and assertive as he tried mounting. He did not listen to the dogs corrections and handlers had to come over to steer him. He would then go off to explore on his own for a while but ultimately tried mounting several times after. Some of the dogs were becoming agitated by him, so he was shifted in a yard by himself. He was then mellow and calm. He had no playstyle and is selective of other dogs. He will require a second handling assessment prior to public adoption. Rambo allowed the handler to touch his ears, mouth, tail and paws. He maintained a nice, friendly posture throughout the assessment and showed a slight discomfort with his mouth at time.
