Just some thoughts after watching today’s episode:
Let’s be honest for a second there. We all knew Aaron was gonna get mad when he found out about the IDs. But does that mean he’s not gonna stand by his man, the love of his life? Absolutely no! He often reacts like that when Robert is an idiot.
They’ll sort it out like they’ve been doing it recently, like normal healthy couple do.
Regarding the question if Aaron would do the same in Robert’s situation, I personally think, the hothead Aaron would have probably done something far worse. Joe would have likely been dead and buried (and Aaron would end up in prison).
So, yeah, Aaron was hurt, but only because Robert did not tell him about it sooner. Aaron knows Robert is (sometimes) an idiot, especially where Robert’s family members are concerned. So what else is new? Trying to make the best out of the worst situation is not the worst quality. I personally actually admire that trait of Robert’s.
Robert has been suffering in silence. He was thinking about Vic, about Aaron, about trying to build a future for his family. But with the guilt already piling up on Robert’s mind it’s only a matter of time before he goes to the police and hands himself in as was suggested in the recent trailer. Because he’d do anything for Aaron, his family.
So, Joe was wrong, Robert does have a moral backbone because unlike Joe he wouldn’t just stand by when a defenseless woman was being attacked, and unlike Joe he’s prepared to right his wrongs. I really liked the show contrasting Joe and Robert in this respect in yesterday’s and today’s episodes, but I’m not so sure the general audience can follow up on that contrast.
And lastly, no matter what, I’ll always be #teamRobert, because I’m sure he’ll always do the right thing in the end.
