Team Time Turner May 2017 - Sept 2019.
I really loved this sharehouse hey
You were a good place to call home and I'm going to miss you
Odd things I've found while moving
- 3 unopened blocks of chocolate (one dating back to Christmas 2015...)
- work credit card and USBs
- all my Polaroids which I deeply love
- blind spot mirrors
When you have a garden you kinda just assume you'll always have a garden. And sometimes that's not true.
I've got a move date to go back to the Capital and it looks like it's really going to happen this time. I've got the day I can collect keys to the new place. I've got a proposed date for removalists and end of lease cleaners and a checklist of everything I think I need to do between now and then.
I've loved the outdoor area and the grassy bit with a tree that was lovely for reading in the summer shade. I'll miss having the outdoor space when friends come over and setting up big circles of chairs and our tiki lamps and laughing. But we'll have a balcony. And a proper dining area and a comfy couch for friends.
Not having been in the unit regularly for 7 months, I've emotionally moved on. Now it's a matter of being patient because I just want to be in the new place already!
Housemateship
This is a pretty shitty thing to say but honestly, I think maybe my housemates breaking up after 3.5 years together has actually really helped me with my own post-relationship grief. I was sad for something that lasted only a few months but that's nothing compared to years and all the conversations about a future together and the shared life and friends and furniture. Its put things into perspective for me and today I woke up really feeling ok about Ish.
My housemates turned up for a visit and came bearing cake!
And we agreed TeamTimeTurner is going to stay together for another year yay!
