New Merchandise 2k16 (spring-fall)
Black Summer Merchandise Blog Fall 2016 Dear Team Yelz, Going into the spring season Team Yelz staff have experienced a lot of fun deciding on merchandise and merchandise related projects. We decided to take a different approach when marketing the brand for the seasons to come. We feel 2016 is the perfect year to reflect on the elevations we have made and the growth that we plan to experience. Team Yelz wants to step away from introduction and take the necessary steps into story telling with all of the art released this year, including using the merchandise to tell our story. Black Summer means more than the season of summer and more than the color black. Black Summer is simply defined as being able to find light and/or positive in negative situations, even the pain and doubt we experience in striving to make our dreams come true. Approaching the fall Team Yelz dropped new Summer merchandise such as, baseball/fitted caps and new t-shirt/hoodie/crew neck sweater designs. The caps come in three different colors: black, khaki (yellow), and pink. The graphics for the shirts/sweaters/hoodies have been simplified to a very clean & classic look; different from what you’ve seen from us in the past. Shirts come in basic white or classic black for now. We decided classic over trend for various reasons. We prefer the eye to focus on the meaning or the graphic that coincides with the meaning verses making the design complex and trendy. We are inspired by storytelling now; we are sticking to the now in our art. Some may call it “throw back,” some may call it “classic,” but however you all view it, we are here to make it clear. Team Yelz is only getting stronger and better. We will always work hard. We will always stay positive. We will always work hard. We will always stay positive. We will never give up.
