A once calm expression twisted into something unreadable, emotions building up until one day they would break free. Having a mother figure back in his life was complicated, on one hand he would roast anyone who would dare to lay so much as a finger on her. But on the other hatred pooled, the childhood everyone wanted had been ripped away the moment he was born. Dabi knew he could never truly hate her, even with all the hell they had gone through.
Even when nothing but a monster walked among their family.
He often wondered what the rest of the family would think, that their precious little Touya was nothing but a murderer, a villain who killed for pure pleasure. Would they even notice their bother? Shoto, Endeavor, they both didn’t think twice about looking towards him with hatred. Just another threat among the league. Sometimes he wished he stayed, to maybe protect them from that awful man. Maybe things could have been different.
Silence, the question getting caught in his throat as he thought over and over again if they should even be said. The answer wouldn’t be surprising, but he’s thought about so many times it was beginning to wear him down.
❝Do you think they would miss me if I came home?❞
It was something that hurt to think about, that they would see him as nothing more than a monster. That Touya had been long gone, died, nothing remaining but the murderer known as Dabi.
