"Someone’s got to keep an eye on that noble arse of yours."
Hans smirked over his shoulder. "Ay. I’ve noticed you’re rather fond of keeping a close eye on certain parts of me."
"Well then, if his lordship finds it bothersome, I could always stop…"
Hans reined in almost at once and threw him a sharp glance. Henry pulled up beside him, the corners of his mouth twitching.
"My noble arse and all other noble parts greatly appreciate your attention," Hans said dryly. "Though I strongly suspect it’s more pleasure than duty on your part."
They’re back on track. From Fire – Part III. Soon.
some small teasers for my entry to the @gw2-zine. Keep an eye out for the official release of the fan-zine, which should be around Valentine's Day. I'll post the whole painting after that :3
some facts about this project:
i learned 3D modeling in blender for this because that was easier than bullshitting my way through perspective like usual
learning blender took 2h, most of which i spent experimenting with rigging 3D models to make them poseable
another great chunk of my blender learning-time was spent on figuring out mirrors because i couldnt be bothered to copy/paste my model appareantly
the origial work file for the painting is about 14GiB of data
the resulting (compressed) JPG is still over 60MB
the first 8h of work resulted in over 200 layers because i like organizing
the last 8h of work were done on a single layer because i got tired of my folder system
in hindsight, i shouldve set a time limit for this project; i spent both more time than i intended AND less time than i wanted
if i were to actually detail the whole painting, it would take me about 120h of total work
the painting references past projects, such as the legendary weapons i designed, and ties into most of my gw2 characters' backstory
the first iteration of the whole painting included 48 unique characters for some reason, among which were elder dragons, destiny's edge, crystal bloom, and some old RP characters
halfway through i realized that most of the characters would be too small to effectively be visible to the average viewer, so i scrapped them
i spent the same amount of time painting Baruhn's nose as i spent painting the whole damn crystal wall
here’s a lil teaser for the coriolanus imagine 😋
The snippet-poll has spoken! Since chaotic thirsting only won by a little bit, we're keeping it light and breezy in this one.
Now what are they talking about
“Wha-What?! Vincent, your hair! What did you do?!”
“As we are going to a more populated area, there is a chance that we may run into someone from ShinRa. While I doubt there are many who could recognize me, I still thought it prudent to conceal as much of my former identity as possible.”
“Bu-...But your hair!”
“...Does it truly bother you that much?”
“I-I mean, it doesn’t look bad, but...doesn’t bleaching it like this really damage it?”
“...”
