It’d been quite some time since the factory tour. Charlie was well on his way to becoming a chocolatier, and Wonka felt he could trust Charlie to watch the factory while he was gone. He knew with Herman and Hoffa that Charlie would be in good hands regardless.
Wonka was leaving for a bit because of a suggestion Charlie had; to go and visit the other four ticket winners to see where they were in life. Wonka made the call to the Teavee residence and got the address, and then made his way to Idaho. He rang the doorbell to the house waiting for the door to open. He hoped he would be welcomed in the home.
