Headcanons for Rui and Nene meeting the Hopes Peak Tech Squad?

As an inventor himself, Rui of course knew about the tech-based Ultimates at Hope’s Peak; he just didn’t think their paths would ever cross until he got a message asking about Robonene.

He brought Nene with him when he met with Miu, Chihiro, Kazuichi, and even Kiibo. She knew as much about Robonene’s performance capabilities as Rui did, after all.

She and Chihiro hit it off, being quieter than the others, while Rui discussed the mechanical components with Kazuichi and Miu. They were…interesting individuals.

Chihiro really lit up when talking about Robonene’s AI, and Robonene and Kiibo appeared to be fast friends. Kiibo was ecstatic to have another robot to talk to. Especially a performer!

They all agreed to stay in touch, especially in regards to any interesting inventions- though Chihiro already added a filtering bot to their group chat, thanks to Miu.

TECH SQUAD MY BELOVED

It was both easy and difficult for them to become friends; easy since they all had technology in common, but difficult because they were so, so clearly different in personality.

Still, Chihiro wanted to be friends with those he shared a workspace with. So he worked hard to get to know Kazuichi and Miu, and have them get to know each other.

They’re all a bit protective of each other in their own ways. Kazuichi mostly acts as a kind of mentor, Chihiro checks in on how they’re all feeling, and Miu ensures everyone physically is alright.

It didn’t take too long for them to get close enough to talk about some of their experiences prior to Hope’s Peak, like why Miu is so obsessed with her health and why Kazuichi decided to dye his hair pink.

It’s a really judgment-free space, though there’s plenty of friendly teasing. They have a system for knowing when some kind of boundary is overstepped, which works well for them.

I want to write about the Tech Squad today

Miu being the newest, she stayed in her own corner of the room for a while when the three of them got together to work on their different projects. She got used to them pretty easily.

Kazuichi likes to think he’s a mentor of sorts to the two of them, since he’d gone to Hope’s Peak longer. Chihiro appreciates the advice, even if not a lot is applicable.

Miu and Kazuichi can write basic code, but it’s unreadable to them one they’re done. Chihiro always cleans it up, each time muttering about how unintelligible it is.

Miu and Kazuichi have met Chihiro’s dad before. While he knew Chihiro described them as outgoing, he hadn’t been expecting the loud personalities the two had.

After a week or two, the three of them were practically inseparable as a group. They had each others’ backs for everything; nobody messed with any of them without messing with the others.

He hadn’t expected his computer to just. Blow up a bit?

He really hoped everything was still intact that he’d been working on.

Hopefully it was a quick fix, too…

Kazuichi Souda:

He was kind of dramatic about it.

Though it did mean he had to clean everything up.

The repair had been going well, too!

Miu Iruma:

…That happened more often than she expected it to.

She would get the ash off of her face later.

That’s why she had goggles with her, after all.

Any headcanons for Clemont interacting with the Tech Squad?

It’s been a while since I’ve gotten any Tech Squad asks!

He gets along best with Chihiro, since the other two have more...abrasive personalities. However, all four of them get along relatively well when working on projects.

Miu laughs when Clemont’s inventions blow up in his face- unless she gets hit by it as well. Usually they explode less when more than one of them works on them.

Chihiro is the only one of them who’s relatively good with naming inventions. That being said, Kazuichi, Miu, and Clemont are all perfectly confident in their naming skills.

Most often, Clemont collaborates with Miu, since they’re both traditional inventors. They’ve made some great inventions, though he’s had to steer her away from more X-rated ideas.

They do have a lot of fun talking while they work, making jokes and laughing about nothing. Surprisingly, they fit in quite nicely with each other. They like it that way.

Imagine Mondo finding out about the bet for who can destroy his hair by waking up to a gong being rung and Chiaki yelling "TEST YOUR MIGHT" As Sakura tries to Karate chop the pompadour. Mondo then asks, in an uncharacteristically quiet voice, "what the f*ck are you DOING!!!" Everyone gets really quiet. The tech trio (Kaz, Miu, & Chihiro) hide robots behind their backs, Leon and Peko hide weapons, and everyone just stands there awkwardly

But yes, absolutely. Everyone is too guilty to say anything until Ibuki and Kokichi, both of them with popcorn, shout out “They’re trying to ruin your hair!”

During an experiment, Kaz gets turned in to a pink cat (a literal scaredy cat). Miu & Chihiro call Gundham to take care of him until they could turn him back. Headcanons for Literal Scaredy Cat! Kaz?

Catzuichi

Kazuichi was an adorable cat, Miu and Chihiro had to admit, but they knew they needed to reverse the experiment and turn him back into a human as soon as they could.

He was Not Happy with this development and kept hissing at the machinery from the experiment that made him that way. He couldn’t even fix it himself! He had to wait for Miu to do it for him.

The only people he would let pick him up were Chihiro and Gundham. Miu was offended by this until she was reminded by Chihiro that she had to fix the machine.

Unless they wanted to explain this to everyone, he would’ve needed to hide anyway. Otherwise, there would’ve been many questions about how a cat had pink fur.

Luckily, Miu was able to fix the machine somewhat easily, and reversed the process. Kazuichi as still more skittish than usual the next few days, though that was expected.
