Whispers meant to etch into the mind of another crept across the consciousness born of human origin. An alien mind bonds with flesh for a moment, passing through the veil born of ego and gently wakes the ego within. Like a dream, presence is given form to a dark room holding a towering shadow with glowering azure eyes. A gaze that pierces through the very fabric of these dreams and through that, the human born ego is willed into existence.
Confusion is to be expected and as such, the alien form takes on the shape of a shadow buried within blackened smoke much like the field that surrounded the great Phaeron amid the hellish nature of war.
In this moment, the towering presence of this consciousness shifts inward, mulling over the very reason as to why this was to take place. This mind knew of things that stretched beyond the feebleness born of flesh and blood. This cold and foreign mind could feel the useless emotions that fluttered through this vessel and in turn shunned such things. These were things far more alien than the concept of humanity and its goals. Perhaps even more alien than that of the Immaterial born Aeldari or the wretched neverborn that stalked the shadows which breached reality.
Regardless, this was an opportunity forged by the efforts of a cryptek that surpassed all others within the Dynasty. The great Mistress of Khir'Fehl, Tehkthys. A name that rang in the ancient memories of Aeldari text as a terror to behold. It was much like the daemons which peeled through the Immaterium for her mind was a most dangerous one. Innovative, much like the rest of her kind but it was she who engineered the great gates and the bridges that now bind the ancient Dynasty together. Through her efforts and council, Sehkyr had come here to this dark and feeble place.
To... treat with this pitiful fleshborn that had caught her attention. The stench of their own technology seemed to linger here as the remnants of things forgotten remained inactive. While the Phaeron himself stood within the bridge of reality besides the body of this... creature, he was also deep within Regis' current subconscious. For him, it was as though he traversed a new world. He had sifted through memories not of his own, but even then, such things held little meaning to him.
He was a Phaeron, that which resided beyond others. His own mind was unblemished by the long hibernation that left so many of his lords and overlords... crippled. Thankfully, his Lychguard and the few Praetorians who stood beside him did not lose their faculties and even then, the only Overlords who had survived the process were very few. Such was the necessity of his own being here. He needed those of other species in order to move about as he pleased. Through Regis, he sought to learn of humanity and its very core.
Yet... he was woefully aware that he had intruded upon another thing entirely. Something touched by the essence of his kind. Something he did not approve of entirely.
Sehkyr dared to wait for this fleshborn to notice.
