The 2015 Sonar Festival kicks off in Barcelona, Spain and Nick Curly is in attendance to promote Cultural Appropriation. Seen in a recent Facebook post, Curly poses next to a young woman in a Native American headdress.
The Debby Downers on Facebook crush the festival spirit when commenting that there’s yet another “white women wearing native american headdresses." To stave off the real life issue, commenters chime in,
"Luckily we live in countries where everyone can dress however one prefers!”
Despite having the perfect platform to address cultural appropriation, Curly, says:
“There’s a time and a place to get all serious. This is not it.”
So take that minority groups around the world! The majority will come in and appropriate your culture, because it looks cool. Oh yeah, fuck your feelings too!
