OH GEEZ, HERE WE GO! STORY TIME!

Yesterday in technology class, there were more kids than usual at my table. It was mainly just my best friend, me, and another person. Yesterday’s class was different. One of my classmates, sat at my table and then his friend came along. The student who came to the table first had a rubrix cube. My best friend saw that he was struggling and wanted to try and help him. He said “No.” She asked why and he said “Cause you’re a girl.” I got pissed at him, calling him a sexist, and I don’t even know how, but he gave some example. HIS EXAMPLE WAS FUCKING PORN! He kept blabbing about the porn and all and the teacher thought he was searching it up, so HE WALKED OVER TO THE TABLE. He gave this huge explanation on why he shouldn’t be searching it on a school laptop (though it’s blocked anyways) and how it messes with your brain or how you act, etc. and some other student across the room heard the conversation and said to the cube kid, “Bro, what type of porn were you searching up? Gay porn?” THE WHOLE CLASS LITERALLY BURSTED IN LAUGHTER. I WAS IN TEARS MAN. LMFAO. Sometimes I dislike these kids but they are funny as hell.

Reflection 1 Technology

is it good or bad use technology in the classroom?

Personally I think that use technology in the classroom is really good for the students. First, they can learn to be autonomous learners because they discover new ways to obtain a lot of information and learn in any place without the presence of the teacher. Another reason is that they have access to a lot of new information from different authors, differents opinions and of differents sources. Another positive reason is the develop of different skills by means of the computer, for example, make summary because they have a lot of different information and they have to select and after that explain with their own words. But if we use technology in classes we need to teach to children to use in the correct form, as a learning tool, a communication tool, an entertainment tool but not create an addiction to the technological objects, as computer or cellphone quite the contrary create a culture for use this objects and uses with moderation.  In Conclusion, the use of technology in the classroom is good, because we have access to a lot of information but we need to teach how to use it in a responsible way.
