The New Gold Rush — Powered by AI
A new wave of wealth is being created by artificial intelligence.
In 2026, the AI industry has already produced 86 billionaires, with 45 new ones emerging in just one year. What’s interesting is where this wealth comes from. It’s not only from building famous AI models. Much of the value comes from the infrastructure around AI—data labeling, specialized tools, and industry-focused applications.
For example, founders like Edwin Chen built massive value by organizing the data that trains AI systems. Others focus on open AI models or AI tools for fields like medicine. In simple terms, the biggest fortunes in AI often come from building the tools that make AI possible, not just the AI itself.
This shows an important lesson: every technological revolution creates entire ecosystems of opportunity.

The Tech Eco System (Survey)
While there is currently a strong push for everyone to learn to code, I feel that it is also important to highlight the many wonderful non dev positions also vital to the tech eco-system. Learning to code? Fantastic! however not everyone wishes to be a developer. Guess what, I am here to tell you that this is okay! Not being a dev does not automatically disqualify you from working in Tech. I am compiling this survey in order to create something wonderful showcasing the many pieces of Tech. It takes a village. Help me create something wonderful by completing and asking others in Tech (Male/Female) to complete the this survey. Thanks in advance and don't forget to Share, RT, RP :)

Where do people in Kabul go when they want to buy an iPhone? The same place as everybody else: an Apple Store. But one thing separates the Apple Store in, say, New York, from the one in Kabul: Apple either doesn’t know it exists, or doesn’t care. There is nothing new about unofficial Apple stores. Chinese authorities found 22 of them last year, right down to staff uniforms.
