Decided I wasn't quite done with that one pair of drawings from my funnybunny sketches series. I love the bar scene a whole lot, and I think if they had been able to stay longer, Jax and Pomni would have been there talking all night long.

perchance is FANTASTICCCCC I love that idea so much! I think Harper is just such a fun character to ship with LMAO but yes they'd be a wonderful fit. also I think it would be cute if Chance includes a lot of Dirk-like characters for Harper to defeat in the campaigns

OH MY GOD that would be hilarious— he might’ve done it like. At least once, in a very very subtle way. But I don’t know if he’s really that petty to do it more than once. I think he’d find more workarounds, or Harper would even come to realizations herself— both about Dirk and even Chappy (I honestly feel like he may not have been the best s/o either).

I do think Chance would grow a small grudge against Dirk after hearing things from Harper and other dateables— not that he isn’t aware Harper was also part of the toxicity but like. How I see it, Dirk clearly doesn’t really seem to like or be attracted to Harper. At the very least he’s fallen out of love with her. He just kinda sticks with her for the sake of familiarity and lowkey uses her as a shield for his own lack of identity. Even if his title of “Harper’s flighty boyfriend” isn’t a great reputation, it’s still something people know him as without needing to actually know him as a person, you get me?

But the most Chance would probably do is give major glares and side eyes if they’re in the same space. Likely stick up for Harper/help pull her out if she got into an argument with Dirk (or Clarence). Meanwhile Dirk may be indifferent, but I can also see him being a bit envious of Chance as well? He’s so unapologetically himself, y’know?

But if Dirk tried to work more on himself and his own issues, figure out his own identity, etc?? I think he and Harper could eventually start to form a proper friendship and get to know each other for realsies. Definitely not get back together as a couple, but they still have to work together/be around each other (at least while in the house)— better to get back on decent/good terms than not.

I honestly have a very funny thought that Reggie would be major frenemies with Harper— I can easily see him loving to pester the characters who struggle with relationships (Penelope, Doug, Tina(?) etc), and Harper is one of his “favorites” to rile up. But I also think he easily warms up to people and becomes the friend with relationship advice/voice of reason (in his own way, of course). So if Harper is Megara, Reggie’s her Hades:

Reggie: I can’t believe you’re getting this worked up over another guy!

Harper: Th—this one is different! Chancey is honest, and he’s sweet—

Reggie: Puh-lease

Harper: He would never do anything to hurt me!

Reggie: He’s a guy!!

I do think it would be sweet he eventually warms up to Chance— if only to get him to act more on his growing grudge against Dirk /silly

Reggie: C’mon. You’ve got some beef on ya. You could take that twink of laundry any day.

Chance: I’M NOT GOING TO PUNCH HIM!

Reggie: You could though. Unless you really want to be a coward about it.
