From a rehearsal a few days ago, but still a good reminder. Get medical training if you don’t already have it! Hire/select people for your running crew that do! This is what happens when you are the only one in the cast and crew with medical training. You clean and dress wounds. Still wearing half your costume. Still in makeup. Still rocking the wig cap. Moral of the story: if you have a crew with a wide variety of skills, when your goofy actor friend who happens to be the lead busts his elbow open during hell week, you won’t have to treat him in costume.
