Naknicromo day 9 Technique Tuesday

Probably my favorite stitching technique is cabling. It's one I keep coming back to because of the finished effects. I've fiddled around with color work and I've finished some lace projects, but cables are my favorite for sure.

I am always collecting random things to use for texturing. For the mug in the previous post it was textured in the same method as this one. An empty spool of thread on a stick. I support from the inside of cup and just roll spool up and down until i get a surface I'm happy with.
