A great article on the really fucking scary strain of technofacism slowly seeping its way into the silicon valley technoscape that I highly recommend you read.
It also should be noted that this article seems like it'd be all kinds of good inspiration for any cyberpunk writing/art/tabletop rpg campaigns/interpretive dance you might be interested in doing, which I know a few folks (like ikaricrossinglines) might find appealing.
And yes, like many things, this too reminds me of The Protomen, specifically Dr. Wily's philosophy.
