The lenses use an external source for power and information that is received on an antenna. The information is then seen by the wearer in an augmented reality format. To visualize this, think of Tony Stark's display inside his Iron Man suit. Sure these have only been tested on rabbits, but putting these lenses on the eyeballs of humans can't be far away.
