Subway Surfer Addiction

If you have a smart phone then I am willing to bet 100$ that you have Subway surfer downloaded and installed on it. The game developed by kilo is a massive hit with over 500 million download just on Playstore alone. It’s an endless runner much like temple run but with a more colorful feel to it. It goes without saying that this is an incredibly addictive game. What is it about running endlessly through a subway with a fat security guard chasing after you that gets players so hooked up on the game? There has to be something more to it than that.

I think it is safe to say that subway surfers continued a revolution, which was started by temple run and angry birds, which made mobile gaming an addiction for millions of people. Following in its footsteps games like candy crush saga have made their way into peoples’ smart phones. But subway surfers has definitely earned its place in the history books.

Game Development and the Video Game Industry

pment Game development used to be a scared deed done by the elitist of elite it used to require months of effort and dedication, but now a days people Google “game development”, take a tutorial and think they can make a game, It’s disappointing to see.However the work that actual studios are doing is a pleasure to see. Everything from indie games to AAA title that are made on a professional level are truly fit to be called game. Although a lot of these studios tend to use game engines, (which I consider to be lazy and wrong) the results that they produce cannot be argued with. Although this writers would truly enjoy a game that would be developed the old fashion way, with programmers shedding blood sweat and tear to produce each and everyline of code used on that game. That would truly be a treat

Anyway there wasn’t much point to this blog I just wanted to pointlessly rant for a bit because I just finished playing the new splinter cell “blacklist” and it was horrible. And it made me remember the good ole’ days when the splinter cell and hitman franchises were just sprouts. Thanks for tuning in Good night.

Words with friends

Words with friends in face can be called the modern day scrabble. I found it to be a fun time pass and the game itself is a virtual scrabble board and though it may not be for the adrenaline junkies words with friends has been targeted to a specific audience namely the chess players. I had mixed feeling about it.

To be honest scrabble itself isn’t for the weak minded but if zynga wanted to replace the board with words with friends than they haven’t done a good job. I mean the whole point of the board game was so that the family and friends could have a good time. But words with friends it just doesn’t have that feeling that I got when playing scrabble. The game isn’t all bad I liked that you can be paired with a random opponent to play a friendly game. The art style is really nice and over all the game is well designed.

Words with friends on facebook is a game that I really wanted to like but disappointingly so it never grew past the shadow of the board game scrabble. It does provide a good pass time once in a while but the game had the potential to be much more than that. I recommend that you skip out on this game and wait for the sequel and hope that zynga realize the potential that a game like this hold and mend their mistakes
