“Moonbeam icecream.”

“Remus John Lupin.”
Remus sighed. “What? What is it?”
Sirius—at the mature age of 36–swung himself on Remus’ lap, like he’d done when they were in their fifth year and probably would keep doing until he was old and grey—not old and ugly; Remus believed holy that Sirius wasn’t able to become ugly—placing his hands on Remus’ shoulders.
“Our boy is going to Hogwarts, Rem.”
Sirius was unstoppable, talking about it more than Teddy himself did. “I know,” he chuckled, reaching out to brush a lost strand of hair behind his ear. “Someone told me.”
Sirius groaned. “You don’t understand! That means he will be able to go to Hogsmeade in a few years.”
“So…?”
“He’ll have access to Zonko's Joke Shop!”
At that Remus snorted. “That is what gets you soo excited?”
“Uhh, yes?!” Sirius exclaimed. “He’ll be able to continue our legacy.”
“I think Harry gives Minnie plenty of headaches already.”
Sirius scrunched up his nose in distaste. He moved his hands on Remus’ shoulders to the back of his head to make sure he was looking him in the eye. “But that isn’t our Teddy Bear! Just imagine what he will get away with if he develops his Metamorphmagus abilities.”
Remus slapped Sirius very softly on the cheek. “We’re not encouraging him to use his gift for such things,” he huffed.
“Always the responsible one.”
“Someone has to keep him on the right pad, it surely won’t be you.”
Their teasing was interrupted by the subject of their conversation. “Dad… would you help me pack. I want to take that series you gave me but it doesn’t fit.”
Remus smiled at their lovely son. “Of course, dear.” A pointed glare was fixed on his husband. “Shoo, Sirius.”
“Shoo, Sirius,” Sirius mimicked mockingly, but he did get of off Remus’ lap.
Sirius opened his arms, and Teddy happily jumped into the hug. “You should get back to your own eyes, dear. You know how important it is to keep your real appearance as much as possible to be sure not to lose it.”
“I want to keep these,” he pouted. “They’re not even that different, and this way it really looks like you're my biological father.”
Remus chuckled. When he and Sirius wanted to become parents, they had been considering multiple options. Just when they settled on the idea of a surrogate mother, Sirius’ cousin Nymphadora had come with the offer to do it. She would love to do it for them, and would love a child, but also wanted to keep traveling the world.
Despite her father being a muggle born, and thus far from a member of the pureblood line, she had almost all the Black features thanks to decades of inbreeding. Making Teddy almost look like a magical product of his two fathers. And apparently, he was planning on replacing the little quirks he did get from his mother with Sirius’.
Sirius had been the first to insist their child should be Remus’—Dora’s solution being a happy surprise—but it was clear how much that meant to him.
“I- alright Teds. Only because it’s you.”
Teddy grinned cheekily, leaning in to whisper something in Sirius’ ear. The laughter that burst from the two afterwards made Remus’ chest feel warm. Although the two similar gazes pointed at him made him feel a little suspicious. He only noticed now that Teddy’s grey eyes had very tiny green dots similar to Remus’ hazel eyes.
“Can you help me pack now, dad? You know pa is even worse at it than I am.”
Oh, now Remus got what they were snickering over. Because Teddy was widening those beautiful eyes, a perfect imitation of Sirius’ puppy eyes.
Remus would never be able to say no to him again.
wolfstar the type of parents to say they fully birthed teddy as two gay men who adopted teddy when he was 5 like wolfstar making out on the couch and teddy being all “ew stop and sirius will say “where do you think you come from huh?” and teddy’s “ i can remember the day i was adopted😒” remus will be like “ you look so much like your dad” and teddy’s like “HOW??” everytime teddy mentions he’s adopted wolfstar is like “no? your not we kissed once and you just popped out of thin air duh”

I wanted to draw teddy, and then regulus came into the picture.
Can take this as reg babysitting teddy for remadora, or babysitting for wolfstar, or even reggie talking to his stepson if you fuck with romantic moonwater/moonseeker. Or reg babysitting for remus in general.
