Ethlys - These two, for better or worse, are at each other's throats by every definition. These beautiful bundles of chaos are perfect for each other whether they want to be (today) or not. The only thing more beautiful and chaotic than Ethlys are their amazing creators who own my heart even more than their ship does.@the-al-chemist @slytherindisaster Tedelia - I could have made a whole post about the KING and QUEEN of all HPHL ships. Adelia would be out of almost anyone's league. Smart, beautiful, sassy, and polished to perfection... but then would you just look at Teddy's little grin? Who wouldn't want to cuddle up with him and read a rare first edition in the library? Beautiful things happen when head and heart collide and that beautiful thing is the iconic Tedelia. Their creators never fail to brighten my day every day@cursebreakerfarrier @thatravenpuffwitch Reubeila - Scary badass beater who needs to be loved? Meet scary badass beater who needs to be loved. Terrifying? Yeah, but these two have found the loving family they always wanted in each other and it melts my heart every time. They are great in the HL era, but Today's Special is among my favorite ongoing stories out there right now. Harry Potter Hogwarts Legacy Appreciation Week - Day 4: Favorite Ships by Moots

Hey guys! This is the fourth entry for @endlessly-cursed’s fantastic HPHL Appreciation Week. Today the focus is on other people’s ships! Y’all have made some wonderful couples and friend groups/duos! There are so many of them that again it is a challenge to narrow down which ones will be featured for the post. Anyway here goes:

Tedelia - Adelia Selwyn @thatravenpuffwitch and @cursebreakerfarrier

Slytherin and Gryffindor in love and getting along like peas and carrots? It’s hard to believe for the common student but if the passion is there it is going to happen. Dear Addy is far from the stereotype of her house and she is so wonderful and compassionate! Teddy and his dormmates are a group of chaotic Gryffindors but they love their gals all the same. Together he and Addy have built a beautiful family with three great kiddos. Danny is a frequent visitor to the Selwyn-Ellison household and he loves Teddy, Addy and their kids so much!! He considers the kids part of his found family just as much as their parents, they’re like nephews and nieces to him and he tries to find them great gifts for their birthdays and Christmas celebrations. Danny has always been close with Teddy and Adelia - he and Teddy are colleagues as aurors and he stops by to see Adelia frequently while working in France. The role that Tedelia has in Danny’s life is why it is number one on this list!

Roxariel - Gabriel Sapieha @slytherindisaster and Roxie Haley @beloved-bucky

This wholesome ship reaches number two spot by a close margin to Tedelia. I cannot decide which should be number two because its more like that it and Tedelia hold equal places in my book. Still this ship is one of my favorites because the gal in here is Danny’s sister figure and best friend Roxie! Gabriel is also a dear friend to him! He is protective of Danny and cares a lot for his well-being, where to he would put himself in harm’s way to keep him safe. The dynamic for Roxariel is unique - I just love how Gabriel and Roxie are still able to love each other so much even though she is a vampire. In a time where racism and supremacy still dominate the wizarding world, this couple can be an example of how minorities can still achieve successful and fulfilling lives just like regular people. Danny is also very grateful to have Gabriel and Roxie in his life and they’re very dear to him - his life would never be complete in their absence.

Galehan - Siobhan Llewelyn @kc-and-co and Galen Stagg @cursebreakerfarrier

Two sweethearts that have it all. Their story is about living life to the fullest. Bonding over a love of magizoology and outdoorsy-ness, Bon-bon and Galen live a very unique and epic lifestyle with many connections around the world. They look over many creature reserves in several countries - one of which is located in the U.S. state of Arizona. Danny vibes with the couple over their appreciation and reverence of the outdoors, reminding him of the better angels of his old home far away. He loves Bon-bon so much and they’ve been best buddies since their Hogwarts days. Galen is such a sweet and soft boy with great compassion and acceptance for minority groups which Danny really appreciates! When working in America he often stays at one of the reserves under the care of Shiv and Galen and is always happy to see them and hear about their latest adventures!

Reubeila - Leila Hellebore @whatwouldvalerydo and Reuben Willows @that-scouse-wizard

While I don’t bring up this ship much it still deserves recognition. Like Roxariel, this ship is another great example of how normally disadvantaged groups in wizarding society are still capable of having romantic feelings, falling in love, getting married and raising a family! Reuben is an awesome quidditch mate of Danny and Leila is a Slytherin lady with demon heritage. Like him they’re both are the type that may seem intimating on the outside but on the inside they’re just amazing friends who do great things for those they know and do their best to give back!

Day 5 of @usernoneexistent’s Summer Break Challenge featuring Teddy Ellison & Adelia Selwyn @thatravenpuffwitch!

In the summer of his sixth year at Hogwarts, just before exam season ended, Teddy found himself beside the Great Lake. He’d spent so long around his friends and classmates recently that he felt as though he needed some space and to clear his head.

The sloshing of the water against the rocks and the rustling of the leaves was relaxing. There was even the occasional twitter and song from the birds. Teddy definitely needed this, especially when it wasn’t long until he returned home and had to deal with his annoying brother Ernest.

Carefully, Teddy clambered over the rocks and for as close as he could to deeper water. It glittered with the light of the sun and even though it wasn’t particularly warm it would be pretty nice to paddle- or even swim- in. But as Teddy leaned over to look into the depths, he was glad he hadn’t had the urge to jump in. He was startled to see not only his reflection staring back at him, but a pair of striking yellow eyes that belonged to a mermaid. Something about it made his blood run cold and his body freeze to the spot. The mermaid rose slowly out of the water, its grey skin and wild green hair making it look like a living nightmare. Teddy had only seen mermaids in books as illustrations and they weren’t nearly as terrifying as in person. It was in this moment that Teddy wished he’d paid more attention in Care of Magical Creatures class.

Just as the mermaid bared its jagged teeth at Teddy a shout split the air. Both of them turned to see Adelia Selwyn approach, her bad slung over her shoulder and, in Teddy’s opinion, looking as beautiful as ever. She gave a quick glance to Teddy himself before turning to the mermaid and uttering something in mermish, something reassuring by the tone of her voice. The mermaid nodded before disappearing below the surface.

Teddy stared blankly at the Slytherin girl. He didn’t know what would have happened if she hadn’t had turned up, so it took him a moment to realise that Adelia may well have saved his life.

“What were you thinking, Arthur?” She scolded. “You were very much playing with fire there.”

If the situation hadn’t have been serious, Teddy would have laughed at her unintentional joke.

“I was just sat here,” he defended. “Having a moment to myself and then that thing just popped up and looked as though it wanted me for dinner! What did you say to it anyway?”

“I said to her that you were not a threat but a friend. She understands now. You’re lucky I was here to save you, otherwise you would have ended up on a dinner plate.”

Teddy breathed a sigh of relief. “Thank you, Delia.”

“You’re welcome, but I do wish you’d stop getting yourself into trouble. You’re going to make my job as Head Girl next year very difficult if you carry on.”

“No, I’m going to make it fun.”

Teddy grinned and Adelia cracked a smile. “You’ll put the fun in funeral and the funeral will be yours.”

He laughed. “That’s the spirit!”

-> I just want to say that I could write about every single one of my ships- both platonic and romantic- and maybe one day I will, but for now I’m keeping this list relatively short. If you’re reading this and we have a ship together, know I love you very much and if I had more time you and your OCs would be in this list ❤️

GALEHAN — Galen Stagg x Siobhan Llewelyn @kc-and-co

This one is totally self-explanatory and had to take the first spot on this list. Never in my life have I been invested in two characters and their love story like I have with Galen and Shiv. They’re the ultimate friends-to-best-friends-to-lovers ship even if there’s six years of agony before they officially get together. But I can’t tell you how much fun I had writing the ‘Wish That You Were Here’ letters series! Their love story is something I can’t describe, even with all my years studying English lit, because it’s so beautiful and so powerful and is something that keeps me going on a daily basis. You all know I could go on for eternity about these two, so I’ll keep it short and just say thank you to the magnificently talented Kate for persevering with Siobhan’s character and letting Galen and I be a part of her story 💙

TEDELIA — Teddy Ellison x Adelia Selwyn @thatravenpuffwitch

My goodness. These two… Own. My. Ass. I think they were my first proper HP ship that I actually invested my soul into. They started out as friends, but with Teddy having the biggest crush in Adelia ever since they met. He’d write her love letters and poetry and would never dare to send them: he’s super confident in every way except when love is involved. He’d always flirt but could never bring himself to be serious. Of course, things changed when Adelia reciprocated those feelings and Teddy had never felt more alive. He was the luckiest man in the world. But no matter what Teddy always treated his darling Delia like the queen she is and if she was happy then so was he. I’m so lucky to have these two as a ship and I literally think about them all the time. They’re so precious and 2022 is going to bring more Tedelia content!

BATTICUS — Atticus Grimsley x Bartholomew Varney @carewyncromwell

Oh man where do I begin with Batticus?! They have such a complex relationship that was never intended to turn romantic but it just sort of happened because it felt right, you know? But having kind, Christmas-loving, beautiful Bat have a positive influence in stoic, meticulous Grim was the best thing to happen to his character. I have had hours of joy role playing with these two and would love to do more of it in the future; it was amazing in exploring these two and how their relationship develops over time. And don’t get me started on the Reincarnation AU because OMG IT’S WHAT THEY DESERVE. I was also super grateful to have been able to draw Bat for the 2021 Secret Santa, which made me think about Bat and Grim spending the holidays together ❤️

EMERICK — Emerson Page x Frederick Lavigne @slytherindisaster

One of my absolute favourite friendships is between these two idiots. Slytherin x Ravenclaw friendships are one of the best and there’s a lot of ambition, creativity, and chaos shared between Emerson and Frederick. They like to have debates, make jokes, play the occasional prank on an unsuspecting student (or professor), and can talk about anything and everything for hours on end. They could spend years apart and it would feel as if they’d not seen each other for only a day. Every time I think about Emerick (yep, I gave them a ship name) I think of this drawing I did a while ago and tbh I think it sums their friendship up so well. Oh, and I also envision them to have this height difference that means Emerson is the little gremlin of rage that gentle giant Frederick has to hold back before he kills someone lmao.

ELIRIAM — Eli Cairncross x Miriam Cairncross

I’m sorry for spamming Eliriam content recently but these two are my new obsession. They’re a classic case of ‘grumpy man is only a soft mushy mess for that one other person who is literally a ray of sunshine but could also kick your ass’. I love Eliriam because they grow as people together: Eli being the slightly older one with more academic experience than world/life experience teaches Miriam to finally be a part of the trade that her father and brother kept her at arms length from, whilst Miriam teaches Eli all about patience and love and gets him to realise there’s more to life than his work. They complement one another in so many ways, they’re the most well-dressed couple at every party they attended, and they also have the love and strength to raise a little boy who isn’t even their own. The more I think about Eliriam the more I love them and can’t wait to finish writing the drabbles I’ve started 🥺

TAKIRA — Akira Crane x Talia Crane @whatwouldvalerydo

THESE TWO ARE ENDGAME OKAY. They started out as crackship but Val’s incredible series ‘Late Night Curses’ just skyrocketed my love for them. Everything that’s been written in that series just cemented them in my heart forever. They’re two powerful, hot, complex, badass individuals, but together?? They’re unstoppable. These two immortals were absolutely destined to cross paths and the slowburn that is their story is so agonising yet there is no other way I’d rather have it. If you haven’t already read LNC I HIGHLY suggest you do because your mind will be blown and you’ll have no choice but to skip these two. I’m so grateful to you, Val, for writing that series; you’ve put so much dedication into it and I’m still astonished at it even months later. And like I’ve said before, Akira is as much yours as he is mine ❤️

MIRANTHONY — Mira Iverach x Anthony Hawthorne @gaygryffindorgal

Hot broody boy falls in love with cute girl who can somehow communicate with those who have passed? Two snarky and witty Ravenclaws fighting against their emotions for different reasons and learning to understand each other? Yep, it’s Miranthony. I absolutely love these two and how they help to shape each other over time. I love that Anthony fights his feelings for so long but just can’t seem to shake them and how Mira is insistent on getting to know him for the sake of getting to know him only to fall in love. They have their faults but they support and love each other no matter what and would hex anybody who insulted them. I hope that this year we can develop them because they have so much potential 🤩
