Hello. Two things; One, your blog is the best ever. Two: How would everyone react to James and Teddy in a relationship? Including Harry and Ginny, please.
Aw, thank you!
Albus: I don’t think he’d make a big deal out of it, but he’d be a bit wary at first because he knows both boys so well. At the end of the day, though, neither James nor Teddy are the kind of people who would let others get to them, so Al would just shrug it off and accept it for their sake
Lily: She’d be quite freaked out, because both are like brothers to her so she’d think it was incest at first. Once the initial scandal has died down she’d be more okay with it, but in the beginning she’d definitely find it a little weird
Victoire: As Ted’s best friend, whatever makes him happy makes her happy. She literally does not care, as long as James and Ted’s relationship is healthy and consensual
Dominique: Dom would be one of the few to mutter behind Ted and James’s backs, because she didn’t see it coming at all and she, like Lily, also thinks it’s a bit “incesty” to date what is essentially your brother. She’d be one of the hardest to come around, I think, because she’s very set in her ways and stubborn. Eventually she’d accept it, but she’d be quite judgmental
Louis: Louis would not care at all. Two of his friends are dating – cool! He’d beam at them and be really happy for them, and be rather impervious to other people’s negative thoughts
Rose: She knows James well but doesn’t know Teddy as much, so it’s not that big an issue with her. It’s just like one of her best friends is dating some guy she’s met once or twice, which is perfectly above board and nothing that she ought to have an opinion on. Rose would listen to Dom and Lily talking about it, because they’re her girl friends, but she wouldn’t join in
Hugo: Hugo could go one of two ways, since he’s like Dominique in that once he has an opinion he sticks to it – he could either hate it from the off or be really supportive. I think he’d be supportive, and Hugo would be the one to tell Lily to maybe calm down a bit and let her brothers be
Molly: Normally Molly would have a loud opinion on anything, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but she’d remain strangely quiet on this. Molly and Victoire are best friends and Molly’s close to Ted because of that, so whether or not she approves is irrelevant because she considers her friendships more important
Lucy: Luce would talk about it with the others, but only because she finds it exciting. I think she’d see both sides of it. She’d understand why Lily was freaked out, but she’s also happy for Teddy and James so Luce would be like an emotional chameleon and would parrot the views of whomever she’s talking to. She basically just doesn’t want to cause a massive rift in the family so tries to see both points of view
Fred: Fred would LOVE it. He’d be taking bets on when the wedding would be, and James would have to tell him a few times to stop when he finds out Fred and Louis have been sending out wedding invitations
Roxanne: This is the kind of thing Roxanne would find a bit weird, because in her point of view Ted and James are brothers, but she’s James’s best friend so she’d be super defensive of him and shoot down anyone who thought it was wrong or gross or whatever. Roxanne and Lily would fall out for a bit in the beginning, because Roxanne won’t stand for anyone saying negative things about James, but once Lily came around the two would make up
Lorcan: Lorc would find it funny. He doesn’t particularly care about the Weasley family probz; he just likes them because they always cause a lot of drama. Once he finds out that Dominique is against it, he’d automatically side with James and Ted just to annoy her
Lysander: Hmmm. Ly’s not particularly judgmental, and he’s very quiet so keeps his opinions to himself, so it would be hard to tell where he stands. James would be quite concerned about that, because he needs his best mate’s approval in a way. Ly would spend some time thinking about it and weighing up all the opposing points of view, but conclusively he’d shrug it off and not care much and just focus on supporting James
Scorpius: He feels like he doesn’t have a right to an opinion, since he’s not directly affected by this, but Ted’s his cousin and one of his favourite people so at the end of the day Scorpius supports their relationship wholeheartedly
Harry: I think Harry would be more concerned with the fact that he didn’t see it coming, to be honest, and he’d be completely fine with Ted and James dating but he’d just be like, “Surely the signs were there?? Am I that oblivious to romance???” and Hermione would roll her eyes at him
Ginny: Ginny would smirk to herself when Ted and James tell her, because she obviously saw it coming. Although they’re both sons to her, she knows that Ted isn’t actually a biological part of the family so she doesn’t find it weird. After all, Harry was like a son to Mrs Weasley and lived with them almost every summer, and Ginny ended up marrying him, so she feels like it’s the same sort of situation. As long as the pair of them are happy together, she doesn’t mind
