Dylan laid there with Poppy sprawled against him. She propped up on one elbow to look at him. There was a pout present on her face that damn near did him in. “Don’t pull away from me like that again... You really hurt my feelings you know.”
He did know and he hated it. More proof that he was trash even if she refused to see it. “I’m sorry.. I thought I was doing you a favor.” He exhaled through his nose as she kissed his jaw.
“I know but I’m a big girl... I can make decisions for myself Dylan.” She snuggled down with him.
Of course in some ways he disagreed. He wanted to protect her from himself but he was selfish and he couldn’t bring himself to stay away.
