If you watch a thing and a character scornfully says "I prefer something more tangible" and turns her head to focus the camera on her recently-introduced companion (who grins at the word "tangible"), and you don't immediately get that they're in a physical relationship:

A) You're young and it went over your head

or

B) You're bad at analysis and need to improve your skills.
