AGHH, Guys what do we think about this teaser to the slow-burn novel I'm writing??
The weekend was off to a great start. It was only 11a.m. on a Saturday and things were already looking up, up and up again. I'd slept over in Tamara's dorm, after sorting her iPod, painting her nails, feeding her rabbits, and doing her hair--I was officially handy. She could act as annoyed as she wanted, but it was obvious she wanted me around. I liked that. I liked her. I also really liked her hair--and the new lotion she got me to put in it yesterday. It smelt like mango and heaven. It was a serious upgrade from her last one--which was not something I was going to declare flippantly. Her last one was no easy feat to top. The only issue I had with the girl was how early she decided to wake up in the mornings--6a.m. sharp. Of course, her walking up woke me up too. Anyways, after we rose at the asscrack of dawn, we argued about what we were going to do, settled on Tammy's idea, obviously, which was getting drinks, then going to the park, in the English winter, because apparently hypothermia wasn't deterring enough for her to want to stay inside. After she couldn't find anything she deemed as 'weather appropriate' for me to wear, we decided that I'd wear my school clothes to my Ma and Pa's house and get some clothes that I could wear. She gave me a scarf and gloves that were too small for me, and acted like I was such a nuisance--all whilst smiling. Yeah, she loved me. Total infatuation. We got to my Ma and Pa's at 9 and she sucked up to them whilst I got dressed. When we were on our way out, my Pa gave us one of those old-people-caramel-candies each, a shopping list he wanted us to complete and eight 20 pound notes--and just like that, after he promised to let us split the change, the park was out of the question. (EEEEEEK. They're best friends, and 15 & 14 currently!!!! (Male POV))
