Today I learned that kittens need to be taught bite inhibition. Would that be something that Catra would struggle with growing up in the Horde?
Ive seen a few people with this headcanon that Catra establishes bite inhibition from teething on Adora. Though I think she probably tends to bite a little too hard anyway (we all know Adora’s as masochist, she’s probably willing to endure a lot more than most people). Whenever Shadow Weaver or Commander Cobalt or a superior officer catches Catra biting Adora they immediately tell her to stop. The only useful primal instincts she has are ones that they can take advantage of (hunting, tracking, killing). But when they’re alone Adora is just like, eh, whatever. She uses it to train herself not to make noise while in pain. Conversely Catra learns to pick up on Adora’s little tells when she’s suffering. Adora’s wrists and arms are still covered in bites from when they were little.
