Yori stumbled behind Ayumu, struggling to keep his footing. In reality keeping up was easy just from stride alone. Being as tell as he was definitely came with it’s set of advantages. Ayumu’s answer didn’t offer much clarity, but he supposed that he would just have to follow behind his once a time ago prince.
It took most of his focus to not step on his cape as he trotted behind him.. Though he did almost fall given all his focus. He wondered what would happen if they were caught. Would he be killed? Well, regardless, he didn’t exactly plan on that happening. He ducked behind the crates, tucking himself as close to the ground as he could.
His heart raced as he heard the footsteps, tears were nearly welling in his eyes. Surely enough they had walked by without notice. A wave of relief washed over him as he stared at the hand that was offered to him for assistance.
“O..oh no I couldn’t um uhhh.. thank you very much anyway, but for someone like me to touch someone like y.. you.. is.. um.. ahhh... how should I put this... uh.. It’s taboo.” Yori laughed nervously as he stood up on his own, bowing his head once more. “Thank you though.. hahah.... I appreciate it, kind prince...”
So, it really was his fault that they ad to make such an escape. Maybe coming with was just a burden to Ayumu after all. He rocked on his feet averting his eyes and yet still stealing glances. “I’m very sorry... Um uh... perhaps... I should just.. stay behind? I couldn’t go back but I don’t want to hinder you at all.”
