or to be precise, their archive burned down in an actual fire.

Watched the Kirby Air Riders direct and first of all I was happy-stimming the whole time, the game and the presentation were so enjoyable to watch ! Second, i'm convinced Mr. Sakurai is some kind of demigod, and third...

I'm peeved that it releases on Nov 20th, because that means it'll be right in the spot in-between ballot date and cut-off date that gets games ignored at The Game Awards for both consecutive years, which means it might not get nominated for Innovations in Accessibility ever.

And that ? That i would be very pissed about.

Do you KNOW how amazing and important the accessibility features of Air Riders are ? Mr. Sakurai worked hard to have the most amount possible in this game, and I have nothing but respect and admiration for that. It's something that more games, especially high-budget ones, need to learn from.

But regardless of if it gets nominated or not for 2025 or 2026... I hope everyone will praise and give its due to this game for its accessibility for the decade to come !
