AroAce Sonic

See, usually I save the pride art for pride, but I am actually really really proud of this one, so I'm sharing. For context I was bored and he came to me in my moment of empty-brain. ...yeah but no for reals. On top of the fact that it's aroace Sonic, the way I drew him this time was very much heavily inspired by @ninja-knox-ur-sox-off's art style. Like. Very much. I usually do not draw muscles, but I figured that I shouldn't fear the fall and went for it and bam. He came out looking bloody wicked. I don't usually draw him like this. But I think I should really start drawing him like this more. I really do love Sonic as a character because he's just so aroace coded. Like. He's so relatable? Not worrying about romance, not caring about it, not feeling a need to reciprocate it, knowing how to say no? Man, he's my role model. I love him to itty bitty bits.

(Also for anyone wondering, yeah, I just couldn't be bothered to figure out a better shoe design for him. his usual shoes just weren't fitting in right and frankly, this was a drawing I made with absolutely no references available to me and shoes are the bane of my existence, so he just gets flats. He looks cute in them. Everyone mourn the fact you couldn't slay flats like he can.)

Oh I cannot express how much I love him. I still adore him, btw. He's so cute and whimsy and you made the outfit look even more fun. Teka you're a talented, prodigious, miraculous soul.

Reminded me I wanna draw him again and actually do him justice like you did. I might! Maybe. Point is, baby!

I AM CRYING. IM NOT EVEN KIDDING—TEARS ARE STREAKING DOWN MY FACE.

I word vomited an essay about the single most important thing to me not even four years ago and now really nice people on the internet are making me gifts.

I’m on a bit of a tangent rn but I continue to be touched and blown away at the impact my words and ideas have had on fellow fans. I love that I have been able to share my love of this franchise and this character with so many passionate, like-minded peers. I’m endlessly grateful for the reach I’ve had on my little corner of the internet.

This is absolutely STUNNING art. Beautifully executed and clearly filled with love. I ADORE all the little details!!
