Also the reason why Miko has brown and purple hair variations is because she's related to Reimu Hakurei who is her great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great ancestor probably. Since PC98 Reimu had purple hair, I could maybe make her hair purple too...

Why, why, why do I always give my female characters names ending with an “eee” sound, knowing full well that I’m going to pair them with a character whose name ends with the same sound, and then proceed not to notice it until after I’ve become too attached to the name to change it to something else?

I don’t remember if I’ve mentioned this before, but I find this series to be a really easy read! There’s furigana, and a very nice balance of known words and context such that looking up words doesn’t usually slow you down from getting into the story. I really recommend it! Plus there’s an anime coming Oct. 2020!
