didnt notice it persay on the first watch, but sittin down and noting it, it is interesting how ibo doesnt exactly tip its hand but does let all these little contradictions build up in relation to it as means of alluding without saying that tekkaden and the audiences tunnel perspective on them is in fact not that healthy. and I say this cause thinking about it, tekkaden makes a big deal about two essential aspects in regards to its membership:

- you can back out anytime, thats a personal responsibility and the choice is on you to know when to quite or leave.

- tekkaden is family and home for those with nowhere else to go, we provide for our own and always move forward.

now taken individually or even in concert these two ideas arent strictly speaking negative, they arent even strictly speaking contradictory, but i do think its important to note that in tekkadens case, those are its two leading and driving principles. were a family, we'll always be there for you, but also its on you to know when to quite or back out. keep moving forward, cause if you dont your a failure who let down your new family.

and that becomes especially kinda lowkey insidious when you take into consideration that most of the early membership and even a lot of the later membership of tekkaden are kids and or people who live outside the strict boundaries of the law. criminals in a legal sense if not always in a strictly emotional sense.

so you effectively have an organization composing of: people who have nowhere else or atleast feel like they have nowhere else to go relying on tekkaden for community, criminals relying on the protection of tekkaden for safety from the law, and otherwise regular people effectively negged into continuing on at the veiled if never acted upon threat of peer pressure.

like, im not conspiracy boarding my way into saying this 'was orgas plan allllll alooong!', in fact i do think its more so a precedent that was set from circumstance and the untimely tragedy of biscuit. an attitude that kinda organically evolved from the environment and circumstances tekkaden found themselves in.
