Summary: A Secret Satan 2021 gift for @tellemonstar featuring a different take on 5x06 Blueballz, in which Lucifer and Chloe end up talking more about feelings and new relationships. What if Lucifer did follow Jed to Lux? And what if Chloe was more upset about what she presumes is Lucifer ignoring her?

“What are you doing here?” she asked with arms crossed.
“Checking in on my club of course. And my favorite Detective.”
“Oh really?” The look on her face didn’t make any sense. “And where the hell have you been all day? You’ve ignored all my calls. You cancel on me to hang out with Jed instead.”
“I did not cancel on you in favor of Jed!”
She’s misunderstanding. This has nothing to do with that idiot.
The Detective laughed humorlessly. “You’re the one who decided to keep an eye on Jed by the way, and guess what? You didn’t even do that. Imagine my surprise when he shows up at my sting.”
“But... I didn’t know about any sting.”
Chloe let out another noise of frustration. “Lucifer,” she said, taking a deep breath like the Detective often did when she was trying to maintain calm, “it’s been a long day. Just let me do my job.”
Backup officers were already questioning witnesses and processing the scene.
“But Detective. I want to help.”
Chloe’s crossed arms and frown froze him in his place.
“How convenient, after ignoring me all day now you want to help.”
