Hunters Unlucky Size Chart

Redrew the creature lineup I drew *checks watch* four years ago. Here’s all the animals featured in the size chart at the beginning of the book, with a focus on staying true to their canon sizes and designs, even though I really wanted to give the sea snakes little seal ears.

I’d been working on a re-read of Hunters Unlucky, and the following books, and had been taking the time that I could to fully sketch out ideas… fell off a bit (a lot) around the middle of Arcove’s Bright Side, but I’m really happy with the shapes and the vibes.

Every time I think of Telshees I picture them with tiny vestigial pawsies so now I am drawing them. Little snake hands on the seals.

was thinking about good ol selkie Hal and thought to make him a telshee!

In this version he's.... not actively malicious. But he is very old and it makes his behaviour unpredictable. He remembers a time before half the species on Lidian could speak and still considers them beneath him. More in a pet way than anything. Curbs and cresia speaking is like a funny trick that a dog would do, to him.

Sometimes he forgets he's not Syra-lay and argues with Keesha, but usually he lets him do as he pleases with the politics of Syriot. He's very curious about how things have changed since he's been asleep

idk how old he is exactly. Probably not old enough to remember humans on lidian but I'm nooot sure on the timeline there

His coat pattern is definitely unusual for a telshee. I wanna do a fun little headcanon sheet of telshee coat colours and morphs at some point. Markings in general are rare for them. He's sort of a weird colourpoint that doesn't express well. One of my cats is like that lmao, you can barely tell he's pointed bc his entire body is spotty
