Hi All,

Sorry for the lack of content and posts recently - I’m going through a pretty intense depressive episode right now and my little family and I are really struggling financially.

Hopefully things will be back to normal soon, but may the Theoi be with all of those who seek their graces and blessings

Hi ! I saw your post on 'religions that teach about apocalypse/end times' and now I'm a bit confused. HelPol/RomPol have the idea of Lady Astraea, who would come back to restore the world to the golden age. If I'm not wrong isn't that something similar in a way?

No hate by the way, I'm just confused!

Thank you for your question! That is a completely valid thing to be confused about - so allow me to clarify!

Many spiritualities and religions have myths or stories around the end of the world or a large cosmic shift in the universe. However - there is a difference between having a myth that centers around such topics and actively preaching that we need to”prepare for the end times”.

Additionally, in a spiritual tradition/religion like HelPol - myths aren’t viewed as literal truth or historical fact (or real predictions of the eminent future). They are metaphors, analogies, social/historical commentaries, or stories for entertainment.

So in short - what I was trying to warn against was apocalyptic religions that are concerned with a “rapidly approaching end time”.
