Ah, the beautiful chemical potluck of the brain. My dreams (especially lucid dreams) are so exciting to me. Even if they are scary. Maybe it's the part of me that thrills for adventure.

It's a balancing act, let me tell you. It's easy to put everything into someone else and none in yourself. A lot of romance is portrayed in the "honeymoon" phase. That feeling fades and it's replaced with something much calmer and manageable. So, it's not realistic, most portrayals. Even social media portrayals.

Your romantic love should absolutely not be your entire world. Also, alloromantics are fucking weird (speaking as one)
Yeh dern allerromantics with yer rom coms and yer moons made of honey.
I can get the butterflies-in-the-stomach feeling sometimes, but when it comes to portrayel of romantic love, I get the feeling that I should be melty and wishing for a relationship like that and then comes the guilt because I’m different and not-normal.
Conclusion: We need more realistic portrayals of functioning relationships after the honeymoon phase! Also I could prolly come up with aro/ace characters besides the ones I already have.

Follow @ANMouseWrites & @AceLaytonBooks !! They are wonderful authors in the fantasy genre with books like The Ashen Path, Odd and The Melanchkolia Project, & MK Effect, the sequel.

You are allowed to complain about these things even if they are things you are trying to work on.
Working on it!!! YEAH!! I think a part of it is me worried that I’m reverting to focusing on a good activity for the wrong reasons, but it’s small comfort to me to remember that utility is always a top reason
