A Pirate’s Life For Me | Original Story Aesthetic
Gather ‘round, mateys, and you’ll hear a tall tale of a man who slipped the hangman’s noose and stole another man’s sails.
Across the ocean, he saved a young lass and in gratitude, the two struck a truce and the calm waves let them pass.
Their alliance forged on the sea balanced on threads as loose as the rope from which he did flee.
Their twisted tale is only at its start as their tangled futures promise much abuse-- oh, for this tale of fortune, lies, and heart.
Beneath the black flag, our heroes will be free but the past has claws and teeth to seduce and silence the purest and bravest of a plea.
But there are no innocent hearts on the sea ‘cause that’s the pirates life, for you and for me.
He slipped the hangman’s noose and the death sentence tied to a crime he doesn't regret. He left behind a family in poverty and set sail on a stolen boat to hide from the country eager to drag him back to the scaffolds to finish the job they started.
She stole an heirloom and slipped detection. Until her pursuers trailed her across the sea and stole it back. They captured her, and dropped her--chained and gagged--into the ocean to die for her crime without a chance for justice. She fought her bindings but accepted her fate.
“It was worth it,” he thought as he sailed through the churning waters unaware of the loose net at the ship’s side.
“It was worth it,” she thought as she sank into the deep; until a rope net from a passing ship swept over her shoulder like a lover’s tease.
