You Are Waffle-y Cute

Mike Wheeler and El Rich both had only been expecting a quick run to the store for breakfast food. What they hadn’t expected was getting a date with their cute new neighbor and sharing said breakfast food for the date, instead. But somehow, neither of them could find it in them to complain one bit.

- Mileven meet cute at the store where there's only the last box of Eggo waffles left. Based on that one quarantine tweet where a mom and dad are arguing over the last box of Eggos at the store.

So this fic is based on that one quarantine tweet about the last box of eggos. It’s dedicated to @elizabthturner who recognized the Mileven vibes and also to the Mileven Depression gc cuz I wouldn’t be churning out fics if it weren’t for them.

‘Suspicious Minds’ made my mind run in the most lovely and bittersweet way, and I started a new Mileven AU as a result! This contains one spoiler from the new Stranger Things prequel book, in the form of a specific new character who will be heavily featured in this fic, so if you’re planning to read that you’ve been warned!

“Andrew, you have officially lost your mind! Jane. Isn’t. Alive. She was never born to begin with!” Becky yelled. “The lab could have covered it up, Becky. You think they can fry Terry’s brains and make it look like a coincidence but they can’t steal a baby and pretend she was never born?” Andrew’s temper was flaring now. He knew his daughter was out there. He had to find her.

So here’s my “Magum Opus” as one of my friends and the person who helped the most in planning this fic (hence, the coauthor mention) calls it. 

Terry and Andrew were seriously the original Mileven so I recommend anyone who's interested to check them out. They had the same goofy adoring relationship as Mike and El and Andrew is basically an older Mike in some ways. Andrew and Terry even hadad their own 'Party' called the Fellowship based on LOTR.

Andrew isn't given enough love despite him being, hands down, the best parent (or he would have been if he had the chance). Hopper is great but Andrew would have been better. I hope this fic helps people see how awesome Terry and Andrew are and how great they would be with Jane. I haven't read Suspicious Minds but my friend ProfessorEl11 who helped a lot in the planning of this fic and thus deserves the co-author mention has and he helped me a lot in understanding Terry and Andrew better and brainstorming with me.

This fic is basically a “what-if” Andrew actually had the chance to come back and raise his daughter. It’s Season 1 compliant and Season 2 as well aside from the fact Andrew is in it and then it deviates slightly.

PLEASE review in the comments since I put my heart and soul into this and worked really hard to make this the best I possibly could.
