This wasn't how he wanted to spend his evening after a long day of work and reviewing his mission briefings. However, it was a 𝑭𝑹𝑰𝑫𝑨𝒀 night, and the gods knew he needed to get out more often with his battle buddies. Sitting by the bar with his whiskey cocktail in his hand, he nursed and took lazy sips of his beverage and looked out into the sea of people.

The loud, energetic rap music blasted over the speakers. 𝐓𝐑𝐄𝐕𝐎𝐑 𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐂𝐋𝐀𝐈𝐑 watched as the club goers danced to the beats, some by themselves, others on each other. He never understood the appeal, and he was never one for dancing either. At least to this music; typically, he found himself listening to heavy metal or rock music when he was alone. There was even a time when he found himself in the mosh pits at his favorite music artists' shows, but that was a long time ago. Nowadays? He'd attend a show or two, stand in the back by the merch tables, and read news articles on his phone in between sets. 

Raising his glass again, he took another sip and placed the glass down on the counter. He was ready to ask for another drink, he saw a familiar figure in his side view, pale brown hair that almost looked blonde. Turning his head, he couldn't help but let out a dry chuckle and shake his head. 

❝ If you're gonna ask me to dance, the answer is no. I ain't dancin' to this music. Not my type of vibe. ❞ Trevor said, instead of giving a typical hello or Good evening, Lieutenant. He was always straight to the point, no bullshit. Most people saw him as rough around the edges, but only a select few saw his softer side. His deep hazel eyes met her own set; however, hers appeared more green while his were more towards brown. ❝ So, I guess you're enjoyin' an evening out like the rest of us? ❞ The sergeant asked before returning his attention to the bartender and raised a finger to ask for another drink. At least he wasn't completely alone while his fellow sergeants were out doing gods know what with whom. Even though he had a strong feeling he would have to bail someone out of jail sooner or later, and get his ass handed to him by his First Sergeant Monday morning. However, that was a problem for future Sergeant Sinclair.

getting into med school was a huge deal. he knew it was. his father kept blowing up his phone, jeremiah even sent him a congratulations text, and he was sure his mom was happy for him — wherever she was. and yet, despite all of it, he was most excited about what he'd just finished doing. his new living room, one he was sharing with @tendure, was full of cardboard boxes, and as he sets his phone down on the makeshift coffee table, also made of boxes, olympia enters the room and sits beside him on the couch. “ hey, honey. ” conrad says, putting his arm around her shoulders and turning to look at her. “ gotta admit, i'm pooped. i don't know how people do this all the time. ”

OOOOOHH I'VE BEEN WAITIN' FOR THIS

𝚆𝙷𝙾 𝙰𝚂𝙺𝙴𝙳 𝚆𝙷𝙾 𝙾𝚄𝚃 𝙵𝙸𝚁𝚂𝚃?: Trevor, Trevor did. He's fighting to be back in her good graces again, so he is making all the first moves to prove he is worthy of her time since he knows how important it is.

𝚆𝙷𝙾 𝚆𝙴𝙽𝚃 𝙸𝙽 𝙵𝙾𝚁 𝚃𝙷𝙴 𝙵𝙸𝚁𝚂𝚃 𝙺𝙸𝚂𝚂?: Trevor, but he'd be nervous. He wouldn't know if it'd be the right thing to do given everything that happened. Like I can see him saying, "Can I kiss you?" Like really soft, as soft as his voice has ever been, because he doesn't want to move too fast, but he wants Olympia so badly. So when she gives him consent, he is stealing her breath away (at least he will try).

𝚆𝙷𝙾 𝙶𝙸𝚅𝙴𝚂 𝚃𝙷𝙴 𝙾𝚃𝙷𝙴𝚁 𝙽𝙸𝙲𝙺𝙽𝙰𝙼𝙴𝚂?: I see Olympia giving him nicknames, and I'll let you and Olympia have fun with this. Trevor likes her name as it, and aside from pet names here and there, Trevor is just calling her 'Olympia'.

𝚆𝙷𝙾 𝙲𝙾𝙾𝙺𝚂 𝚃𝙷𝙴 𝙼𝙴𝙰𝙻𝚂?: Trevor cooks, Olympia bakes. He makes dinner, she can make dessert (and maybe she becomes dessert later LEMME STOP LEMME STOP). In all seriousness, Trevor will cook, he might even reach out to a certain Atlas for advice on what to cook for Olympia as well.

𝚆𝙷𝙾 𝙷𝙰𝚂 𝙱𝙴𝚃𝚃𝙴𝚁 𝚃𝙰𝚂𝚃𝙴 𝙸𝙽 𝙼𝚄𝚂𝙸𝙲?: Not gonna lie, and I basing this off his playlist, Trevor is edgy as hell. So I'm gonna say Olympia has better music taste. I think the only time he cooks with music is the reggaetón and latin music.

𝚆𝙷𝙾 𝙷𝙾𝙶𝚂 𝚃𝙷𝙴 𝙱𝙴𝙳?: There is no hogging the bed with Trevor; he is scooping her up and clinging to her, and if she leaves in the middle of the night, he will wake up from slumber, sit on the edge of the bed, and be like, "Why did you leave me?"

𝚆𝙷𝙾 𝚆𝙰𝙺𝙴𝚂 𝚄𝙿 𝙵𝙸𝚁𝚂𝚃?: Based on the thread we have, I'm going to assume Olympia does! Does he like it? No. But over time, he gets used to it. He just likes his morning cuddles and lazy kisses.

𝚆𝙷𝙾 𝙼𝙰𝙺𝙴𝚂 𝚃𝙷𝙴 𝙲𝙾𝙵𝙵𝙴𝙴?: On the days when they both need to wake up early, I feel like they'd take turns back and forth. One person makes breakfast, and the other makes coffee, vice versa. Like, there's no set "role"; it all depends on the mood and the vibes of the day.

𝚆𝙷𝙾'𝚂 𝚃𝙷𝙴 𝙱𝙸𝙶 𝚂𝙿𝙾𝙾𝙽?: Trevor for sure, but he's not opposed to Olympia being his backpack, as long as he has her affection, that's all that matters to him.

𝚆𝙷𝙾 𝚂𝚃𝙰𝚈𝚂 𝚄𝙿 𝚃𝙷𝙴 𝙻𝙰𝚃𝙴𝚂𝚃?: Hm, depending on the day. And I'll just his employment with Natalia, it'd most likely be Trevor since she does tours. However, on the days he's not working for her, I can see Olympia. That soldier mentality is hard to shake even after all these years, so he has a set time at 2230, maybe 2300. However, it's not set in stone. If Olympia wants to stay up late, he's doing the thing.

𝚆𝙷𝙾 𝚁𝙴𝙰𝙲𝙷𝙴𝚂 𝙵𝙾𝚁 𝚆𝙷𝙾'𝚂 𝙷𝙰𝙽𝙳?: Olympia reaches, but Trevor is taking it as soon as he notices it. And then he's giving her a smooch on her hand and each finger.

𝚆𝙷𝙾'𝚂 𝙰 𝙵𝙰𝙽 𝙾𝙵 𝙿𝙳𝙰?: I think because of old Army standards, Trevor is still getting used to the PDA, but that switch flips as soon as someone's eyes linger on Olympia a little too long. He'd be subtle with it. However, if Olympia wants to do PDA, he is not complaining.

𝚆𝙷𝙾 𝚂𝙽𝙾𝚁𝙴𝚂?: I'd say Trevor snores, depending on the day. And the minute it bothers Olympia he's using those VA benefits and getting a sleep study done. Just to make sure everything is good. But I can see him doing this if he's like sick, not an actual condition.

𝚆𝙷𝙾 𝙶𝙴𝚃𝚂 𝙰𝙽𝙽𝙾𝚈𝙴𝙳 𝙼𝙾𝚁𝙴 𝙴𝙰𝚂𝙸𝙻𝚈?: I wanna say Olympia, Trevor the accidental rage baiter, but you already know he's giving her puppy dog eyes, part a distraction, the other part is because he doesn't want Olympia upset.

𝚆𝙷𝙾 𝙸𝙽𝙸𝚃𝙸𝙰𝚃𝙴𝚂 𝚂𝙴𝚇?: I wanna say both, but there will be days where he might be stressed from work, he's coming home, scooping her up, and throwing her over his shoulder and being like, "I had a bad time, I want you to make me feel better." Annnd I'll leave the rest up to your imagination.

𝚆𝙷𝙾 𝙰𝚂𝙺𝚂 𝚆𝙷𝙾 𝙵𝙾𝚁 𝚃𝙷𝙴𝙸𝚁 𝙷𝙰𝙽𝙳 𝙸𝙽 𝙼𝙰𝚁𝚁𝙸𝙰𝙶𝙴?: Trevor is! And he's going all out for it too. At least with the ring anyway, he'd probably propose when Olympia is just lounging in the house, not all dolled up, maybe she's baking, has flour all over her or whatever, and then he just drops on one knee and asks her then.

𝙼𝚈 𝙼𝚄𝚂𝙴'𝚂 𝙵𝙰𝚅𝙾𝚁𝙸𝚃𝙴 𝙼𝙴𝙼𝙾𝚁𝚈 𝙾𝙵 𝚈𝙾𝚄𝚁𝚂: Favorite memory, based on threads is when they danced together. He let himself be happy for once, and part of it was the memories of Lucia, but he only dances with people he's comfortable with, and Olympia is one of those people.

𝙰 𝚁𝙴𝙶𝚁𝙴𝚃 𝙼𝚈 𝙼𝚄𝚂𝙴 𝙷𝙰𝚂 𝚁𝙴𝙶𝙰𝚁𝙳𝙸𝙽𝙶 𝚈𝙾𝚄𝚁𝚂: Trevor's biggest regret is not telling Olympia he didn't renew his contract, that he just left without a word. That will always be his biggest regret. Louie grilled him for it, but that's something he will always carry with him.

𝙸𝙵 𝚃𝙷𝙴𝚈 𝙲𝙾𝚄𝙻𝙳 𝙲𝙷𝙰𝙽𝙶𝙴 𝙾𝙽𝙴 𝚃𝙷𝙸𝙽𝙶: Trevor personally does not want to change anything about Olympia, but he'd change things about himself. And technically, he does through development. He learns that he can't control everything, and that he will simply have to trust fate that everything will be okay.

𝚃𝙷𝙴𝙸𝚁 𝙻𝙾𝚅𝙴 𝙻𝙰𝙽𝙶𝚄𝙰𝙶𝙴𝚂 𝙰𝙲𝙲𝙾𝚁𝙳𝙸𝙽𝙶 𝚃𝙾 𝙼𝚈 𝙼𝚄𝚂𝙴: Acts of Service. Mainly based on the plot, Trevor is doing everything in his power to win back Olympia, so he does a lot of actions to show that what he feels is honest and genuine. He wants Olympia to know that he is all in, and he never plans on letting her go ever again.

it  was  best  not  to  think  too  deeply  about  it.  just  keep  moving  onto  the  next  objective,  accept  another  one,  finish  it.  rinse  and  repeat.  if  he  stayed  busy,  he  wouldn't  have  time  to  think.  in  his  line  of  work,  that  was  the  whole  point.  relying  on  muscle  memory—gloved  finger  on  the  trigger,  aim  down  his  sights,  and  squeeze.  if  the  mission  required,  reconnaissance—infiltrating  enemy  ranks,  blending  in  under  an  alias  with  a  plausible  disguise,  then    𝚁𝙴𝙽𝙳𝙴𝚉𝚅𝙾𝚄𝚂  𝙰𝚃  𝙴𝚇𝙵𝙸𝙻.    however,  thinking  back  on  his  conversation  with  olympia's  cousin  within  the  ranks,  heart,  he  was  bombarded  with  news  that  he  would  never  have  expected.  he  has…  children?  of  his  own?  plural?  heart  had  provided  her  address  and  he  made  his  way  there  with  quick  haste.

he  wasn't  quite  sure  how  to  act.  it's  been  a  couple  years  since  he  last  seen  her.  what  was  most  baffling  was  that  she…  kept  the  kids.  death  had  no  idea  she  even  wanted  them  to  begin  with.  at  least,  not  that  he  ever  bothered  to  ask  in  the  past.

Nat snorts into her drink, whiskey neat, and offers no answer. She's more interested in the crowd tonight than whatever trouble has befallen her friend.

The Deck is filled with it's usual, but there's a sprinkling of new faces. Mostly young, obviously excited. Eager. From the attention they're getting, Nat's not the only one whose noticed them.

"They're babies," she sighs. "None of them look hopeful."

sometimes when they meet, they're there for other reasons. there's always caution painted in ada's movements when an unexpected meeting occurs, her lips plied into a pleasant smile that didn't quite reach her eyes, as they circled one another like animals, waiting for the other to show the first signs of WEAKNESS as they sussed out the other's prey. sometimes a person, an objective, a thing.... it's hard to know when this business was scored by secrecy, but it didn't mean that once the lines were defined and made as clear as they could be, that they couldn't extend a little professional courtesy to one another.

so when she's slipping past a guard she's put out, she opened a door to find olympia there. going through a filing cabinet, staking her supplies, of course, the bullets that she'd found being added to the pouch at her side. no wonder she hadn't found much on the way up here, her head tilting slightly, watching her EVERY movement. "well, well, well. it's been a while since we last had something like this happen, hadn't it?" and there's something both thrilling and dangerous about that. they worked, generally, in separate arenas, ada tending to lean into work that took a more bio-weaponry approach, selling off her services to governments and private firms alike, but this...

this place wasn't even known for the pharmaceuticals that it produced. that was a part of it's side arm, beneath a different name, it's connections here WELL HIDDEN in the books thanks to a little creative accounting. olympia was liking running her own op, but it was suspicious to have the both of them here at the same time, ada, about to go into her next line of questioning when there was movement behind olympia - she's quick. the draw, the firing, the moment she saw the weapon in the man's hands, he's clipped at the shoulder, first, and then again in the other when he goes down, the gun in his own hand clattering to the ground as the blood splattered wet to the walls.

“ at least it wasn’t me this time. ”

"you're welcome, for that." there's no real MALICE in her words, her heart still pounding as she heard the man on the ground, moaning, moving around the desks that separated them to dig a heel into his shoulder to keep him down. "and please, that accident the last time i saw you was hardly your fault. and if i remember correctly, the man you shot for shooting you didn't live. do you hear that?" the heel grinds down, a moan, shocked, spilling from the guard's mouth. "if she'd turned to see you first, you wouldn't be alive. so count this little loss as luck for now." her gaze, flickering over to the other woman for a moment. "... do you need him? i was looking for someone here with the right access anyways to help me open a door. if you needed him for questions after, he's all yours to do what you like with~"

oh, when they team up, others ought to have run in fear. that's the general feeling that seems to strike whenever the pair teamed up, a rarity, but ever since the deadly thing had given up playing the spy world's darling, she settled in for work that seemed to suit her FAR BETTER. and she always did have admire someone for knowing when to take the deal, the other woman thriving, it seemed, and apparently one to remember her old friends. only ada no longer worked for the organization, and frankly, freelance allowed for a level of direct hands on-ness that left her... well. far more alive then her past encounters were determined to see her through.

it's almost tragic luck when the bullet clips right through her shoulder. it's instant, how it pushes her back and down, ada's pain bitten back in the rush of adrenaline that flooded her veins through this. and they finish it out, of course they do, what was to happen, her to quit, hlafway? "that's not how you get PAID." she murmured to the other woman with the sort of sour-mouthed smile that had her pushing right through it all, until the finish line. but by the time the target's been acquired, sweat poured down the side of her face, a sickness, swung through her....

and then the world? oh, it goes BLACK.

she wakes in a bed she does not recognize. at first, alert, until she saw the woman in the chair, half dozing off, but sharp, the moment that she stirred. nobody ever really sleeps SOUNDLY in this line of business, ada reaching up to feel that she'd been bandaged up proper, her little field surgery stunt having only taken her so far before she'd succumbed to the weakness of an infection, or so she's told. ah. of course.

"do i?" her mouth twinges in an almost HUMORLESS SMILE. "remind me that you're bad luck in the future. worse than a broken mirror, a black cat... i think this marks the second time i've been shot in your company. i really do have to wonder if i should be charging a hazard fee when you contract me next." she'd anything but easily grateful. that part shows, in other ways, though even her words of thanks seem to curl along her tongue when she means it. "... did you drag me all the way from there, to safety? how dashing~ a proper gentleman. thank you, olympia. now, if you want me to properly look like myself... i should probably ask if there's anything to eat. and while i do, you can catch me up on what's happened since i was out of commission."

oh, he's almost certain she doesn't actually want his advice. actually, he'll do her one better: he has none. his one titular job of complain and judge has been done. no further questions.

"um, anything," he tells her, like it's the most obvious thing in the world, which is about as forthcoming as his posture: arms crossed, back tight, eyes lazily narrowed. "literally. anything other than that."
