Ochako wasn't sure what she thought of the situation. She knew that UA still wanted Deku in some way or form but she had been sure that the 'hero' sent in to stop Deku would be Shoto after coming across him. He was one of the best in their class and had two quirks so it'd make sense for him to be the one. But for some reason, he helped Deku instead of fighting him and that made her even more uneasy.
The tension in the air was thick and maybe he noticed it too because at one point he demanded to speak with her to which she remained silent for a moment. "If you have something to say, just say it!" she retorted, not liking his hostile demeanor. Did he want to turn her in? Did UA maybe betray her?
She didn't know and to get some answers, she followed him to a more secluded area and his next question only added to the tension between them. Was this a trick question? "I guess you could say I'm a bit curious about him. Besides, I don't think it'd be safe for him to fight all these villains alone."
Her gaze hardened. "I could ask you the same thing. What would you get out of helping him?" Shoto never seemed like someone who'd open up to anyone and right now, he seemed more closed off than usual. It didn't make any sense to her that'd he'd be willingly wanting to help a vigilante. His next words though, earned him a scoff. "You think I care about that? At least, my reason for wanting to helping him make sense! But you? You're from UA! He killed Endeavour! And you're still helping him? Why?" she asked in disbelief. There was only one plausible explanation - he only was pretending and wanted to know her intentions and possibly get rid of her while trying to make Deku lower his guard!
