yoi is just plain old fluff it looks so boring from the op and ending like you wanna give me an experience ill actually be hyped for you have to hook me in with the op
BUT IT DIDNT SO IM NEVER GONNA WATCH ITTTTTT that was the laziest op ive ever sene
id rather watch naruto for the gays/represhentashun than yoi
yoi is... well, pretty boring from a story prespective, and i actually found the ending to be pretty bullshit from that perspective. i actually have coherent thoughts on this but i don’t think i’ll get into ranting about it until i’ve rewatched it (which i’m doing, slowly, dubbed, because the dub is hilarious and improves rewatching it by a mile)
the op... the song used is super eurovision-like so it gets bonus points for that, but the animation isn’t... great. not really. and the ending is just, plain, modern, an easy beat but not that memorable. it’s not... great.
sorry i’m gonna get into a crunchyroll award rant here but like, on the topic of ops and eds, based on effort alone mp100 should’ve DEFINITELY won?? both??? at least when compared to yoi, i haven’t seen any of the other nominees tbh. like seriously, mp100′s ending had the entire thing animated through oil on glass painting that took over a month to produce. over a month for, what, a minute? show me another show that puts that much effort into its ending alone. and the op is absolutely gorgeous, and the more you read mp100 and get into the story post-anime, the more you appreciate it. it’s brilliant.
anyway sasusaku ftw i’m reworking my entire blog to revolve around naruto
